KUALA LUMPUR, 4 AUGUST 2026 - Campaign strengthens business ties between Greece, Latvia and Malaysia through MIFB 2026 and exclusive B2B networking dinners, showcasing premium European food products for the retail, hospitality and foodservice sectors

Malaysia’s appetite for premium imported food products continues to grow, and Premium European Products is building on this momentum with its third consecutive appearance in the country. Returning to the Malaysian market through the Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026, the campaign further strengthened business connections between Greek and Latvian producers and Malaysia’s expanding food and beverage industry.

Held from 15–17 July 2026, MIFB 2026 provided a strategic platform for Premium European Products to introduce a carefully curated portfolio of authentic European food products while reinforcing long-term trade relationships with Malaysian importers, retailers and hospitality businesses.

Strengthening European-Malaysian Business Partnerships

Building on the success of previous years, Premium European Products complemented its participation at MIFB with its annual Business-to-Business (B2B) Dinners, now organised in Malaysia for the third consecutive year.

The networking sessions brought together importers, retailers, distributors and industry stakeholders to discuss market opportunities, exchange insights and explore new business collaborations. Held ahead of Malaysia’s National Day celebrations, the dinners also created timely opportunities for restaurants, cafés, hotels and foodservice operators to discover premium European ingredients that could be incorporated into festive and locally inspired menus.

The initiative continues to strengthen commercial ties between Greece, Latvia and Malaysia while supporting greater market access for premium European food producers.

Showcasing Authentic Premium European Products

Throughout the three-day exhibition and accompanying B2B events, visitors explored a diverse selection of premium products from Greece and Latvia.

The Greek showcase featured several internationally recognised Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) products, including:

  • Cretan PDO Graviera cheese
  • PDO Green Table Olives (Konservolia variety)
  • PDO Cretan Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Koroneiki variety)
  • PDO Corinthian Raisins Vostitsa
  • PDO Masticha Chios resin
  • PDO Krokos Kozanis saffron

Meanwhile, the Latvian showcase highlighted premium dairy products, cheese snacks, chocolates and confectionery, handcrafted dried fruits and other high-quality food products that reflect the country’s growing reputation for premium food production.

Together, the collection demonstrated the authenticity, quality and versatility of European food products while presenting new opportunities for Malaysia’s retail, hospitality and foodservice sectors.

European Ingredients Meet Malaysian Cuisine

Beyond showcasing European heritage, Premium European Products also highlighted how these ingredients can complement Malaysian culinary traditions.

Products such as Krokos Kozanis saffron, Vostitsa dried raisins and Latvian dried fruits can enhance rice-based dishes including briyani, nasi minyak and festive rice preparations by adding distinctive aroma, colour and natural flavour.

Similarly, premium olive oils and table olives can elevate grilled seafood, roasted chicken, salads, sambal-based appetisers and contemporary café dishes.

Graviera cheese, known for its sweet flavour with subtle spicy notes, lends itself well to pastries, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and fusion snacks. Latvian cream cheese and truffle butter also offer versatile applications across bakery products, sauces, spreads and premium foodservice creations.

These examples illustrate how premium European ingredients can be successfully integrated into Malaysian cuisine while meeting growing consumer demand for elevated international flavours.

Supporting Growth in Malaysia’s Food & Beverage Industry

The campaign’s continued presence at MIFB reflects increasing interest in premium European food products within Malaysia.

By combining participation in one of the country’s leading food and beverage trade exhibitions with dedicated business networking sessions, Premium European Products continues to support stronger business cooperation, greater product discovery and expanded market opportunities between Europe and Malaysia.

As Malaysia’s food and beverage industry continues to evolve, initiatives such as Premium European Products play an important role in connecting international producers with local businesses while introducing consumers to authentic, high-quality European ingredients.
