Lenovo has announced a new portfolio of infrastructure solutions and services designed to help enterprises modernise the technology foundations behind their virtualised environments while preparing for the growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).
The expanded portfolio includes the Lenovo ThinkAgile VX850 V4, designed for highly virtualised environments and demanding in-memory workloads; Lenovo Premier Deploy for Infrastructure, which offers three pre-defined service levels to support the transition from deployment to production-ready operations; and expanded Lenovo Express Solutions, which provide validated modernisation paths across leading virtualisation and hybrid cloud platforms.

ThinkAgile VX850 V4 Built for Demanding Virtualised Workloads
The Lenovo ThinkAgile VX850 V4 expands Lenovo’s virtualisation portfolio with infrastructure designed for highly virtualised enterprise environments and demanding workloads.
Supporting both structured and unstructured data, the VX850 V4 provides a foundation for consolidating and modernising critical workloads. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into enterprise applications and workflows, the infrastructure is designed to support existing business-critical applications while creating additional capacity for emerging workloads.
Lenovo’s wider ThinkAgile portfolio is positioned to support enterprise workloads including virtualisation, analytics, in-memory databases and AI, giving organisations options for modernising their infrastructure without having to replace their entire technology environment.
Three Deployment Options for Production-Ready Infrastructure
Alongside new hardware, Lenovo is expanding its Infrastructure Deployment Services with three clearly defined deployment options: Standard Deploy, Premier Deploy and Premier Deploy Plus.
The structure is intended to make it easier for customers to select a deployment approach based on project complexity, business criticality, internal IT capabilities and the level of support required after go-live.
All three options provide a structured readiness foundation and expert hardware installation. Premier Deploy and Premier Deploy Plus add implementation and operational hand-off support for projects requiring additional assistance in moving from infrastructure delivery to production-ready operations.
Premier Deploy Plus further includes extended post-deployment assistance and a one-year infrastructure health assessment, excluding DE Storage Array. This is designed to help customers identify issues early and determine their next steps.
Validated Solutions Simplify Virtualisation Modernisation
Lenovo is also expanding its Lenovo Express Solutions portfolio through the Lenovo Top Choice Express programme.
The pre-validated infrastructure configurations combine Lenovo technology with leading software platforms to simplify deployment, reduce integration complexity and accelerate time to value.
The expanded portfolio provides modernisation options across several virtualisation and hybrid cloud platforms while maintaining flexibility and customer choice. These include:
- Microsoft Hyper-V Ready Solutions and Windows Server, providing a validated Lenovo infrastructure foundation for modernising virtualised environments.
- Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Solutions, allowing organisations to run virtual machines alongside containerised applications on a unified platform.
- Microsoft Azure Local with Lenovo ThinkAgile MX V4, supporting virtualised, AI and cloud-native workloads across distributed and hybrid environments with consistent Azure management.
- Lenovo ThinkSystem with Nutanix Compute Cluster, offering independent compute scaling, workload flexibility and simplified virtualisation management.
- SUSE Virtualization on Lenovo ThinkSystem V4, supporting virtual machine and container workloads on a unified infrastructure foundation.
By combining Lenovo infrastructure with tested configurations from technology partners, the solutions are intended to reduce the integration burden on IT teams and provide a more predictable path from evaluation to deployment. Lenovo describes these validated modernisation paths as a way for organisations to evolve existing virtual environments rather than start again from scratch.
Resilience and Data Protection for AI Workloads
As enterprises modernise their virtualisation strategies, Lenovo is also placing emphasis on infrastructure resilience and data protection.
Lenovo ThinkSystem Storage and ThinkAgile HCI solutions support modernised virtualised environments, disaggregated infrastructure, integrated data protection and scalable AI workloads.
Integrated cyber-resilience capabilities are designed to strengthen ransomware recovery, recovery planning and operational continuity, helping organisations keep the data supporting business-critical and AI workloads protected and recoverable.
Lenovo is also highlighting the importance of open standards as organisations modernise their infrastructure. XClarity Controller 3 and XClarity One use standards-based management to help customers integrate, automate and operate infrastructure more consistently.
Building an Infrastructure Foundation for AI
The latest portfolio reflects a broader shift in enterprise IT infrastructure as businesses seek to introduce AI while continuing to support existing applications and virtualised workloads.
Rather than requiring organisations to replace their current infrastructure wholesale, Lenovo is positioning its solutions around incremental modernisation across virtualisation, hybrid cloud, storage, infrastructure management and deployment services.
“Modernisation is an in-place initiative; it does not require starting over,” said Matt Eastwood, Senior Vice President, IDC’s Enterprise Infrastructure and Datacenter Group.
He said Lenovo’s combination of virtualisation, hybrid cloud, storage, infrastructure management, deployment services and technology partners provides a flexible foundation for traditional enterprise, cloud-native and AI-native workloads.
The approach is intended to allow organisations to modernise incrementally while maintaining control over how and where workloads and data are deployed, as enterprises continue building the infrastructure needed for an increasingly AI-enabled technology environment.
