Strengthening Malaysia’s Digital Economy

TikTok Shop Malaysia has announced the launch of its RM20 million #JomLokal Booster Stimulus Package, designed to help thousands of Malaysian MSMEs scale their businesses online. The initiative builds on the success of the platform’s ongoing #JomLokal campaign, which since 2023 has championed homegrown products and supported sustainable growth for local entrepreneurs.

Support Tailored for Local Entrepreneurs

Qualifying MSMEs under the programme – those with fewer than 200 monthly orders and under RM1,000 GMV – will receive:

  • RM1,000 commission fee waiver for up to 120 days.
  • RM50 Advertising Promote Coupons, subsidised by TikTok Shop.
  • Sponsored ad placements on TikTok in-app search banners to boost product visibility.
  • Free use of TikTok Shop LIVE Hubs for up to 10 live sessions.

These measures aim to ease operational costs while increasing sales opportunities for small businesses.

Government Endorsement and National Vision

Officiating the launch, YB Senator Datuk Dr. Hajah Fuziah Binti Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, emphasised that Malaysia’s push to become a digital-first nation depends on empowering entrepreneurs. She commended TikTok Shop for creating an inclusive e-commerce ecosystem that not only drives economic growth but also nurtures a patriotic and competitive digital community.

Upskilling for Long-Term Growth

Beyond financial incentives, TikTok Shop will expand its education and training efforts for MSMEs. These include Shoppertainment workshops, creator-matchmaking events, and weekly webinars aimed at improving digital skills and helping sellers thrive in the evolving e-commerce landscape.
