Finalists Prepare for Grand Final Demo Day
Yong Kai Ping, Chief Executive Officer of Sidec, said reaching the Top 24 reflected the progress, commitment and growth demonstrated by the participating founders throughout the programme.
“Reaching the Top 24 reflects the progress, commitment and growth these founders have shown throughout the programme. They’ve refined their strategies, sharpened their investment readiness, and built the confidence to take their ventures to the next stage. We look forward to seeing them showcase that growth at the final Demo Day,” he said.
The 24 finalists will compete at the Grand Final Demo Day on 14 October 2026 at the Plenary Theatre, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), as part of the AI & Semiconductor Summit (AiSEM@Selangor).
At the Grand Final, the startups will present their businesses and solutions to a panel of judges and industry stakeholders, with the final round determining the Champion of each accelerator track.

A total of 12 winners will be recognised across Token-X, Deep-X and Retail-X.

The international experience will include curated business and investor matching, industry visits and strategic connections designed to support regional expansion and business growth.
In addition, the Champion of each track will receive an RM20,000 cash prize.
Supporting Startups Beyond Acceleration

Since 2015, Sidec has worked with more than 447 startups and SMEs, giving the organisation first-hand insight into the challenges businesses face as they grow and scale.
The impact of its accelerator programmes can also be seen among past alumni.
IGL Coatings, for example, secured new distributors in Bahrain and Bangladesh and launched a Petronas Graphene Advanced Technology in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, Eartheories founder Fadz Subari was named one of the Top 10 CEOs in Malaysia for retail and e-commerce by CEO Insight Asia 2025.
These outcomes reflect Sidec’s broader focus on supporting businesses beyond their participation in an accelerator programme.
Partnerships Strengthen Startup Ecosystem
The programme has received support from a range of industry and ecosystem partners.
AFFIN Group serves as the Strategic Banking Partner, supporting Malaysian SMEs and startups through financial solutions, business insights and opportunities related to growth and investment readiness.
Fiuu, the Strategic Payment Partner, has supported participants through digital payment solutions and insights aimed at strengthening their digital commerce capabilities.
Sidec’s Global Partners, Plug and Play APAC and Endeavor, contributed global speakers, industry insights and international networks to provide founders with greater exposure to global markets and expansion opportunities.
MRANTI, the Strategic Innovation Partner, supported the programme through its innovation ecosystem, industry connections and platforms focused on the development and commercialisation of emerging technologies.
Cradle, Malaysia’s national agency supporting the startup ecosystem, also contributed to strengthening ecosystem linkages and supporting the growth and development of local startups.
The programme was further supported by 13 venture capital partners, including 500 Global, GenAI Fund, The Hive, PNSB, Gobi Partners, Vynn Capital, AppWorks and Artem Ventures.
These VC partners shared investment expertise and market insights, provided strategic guidance to founders and explored potential investment opportunities with participating startups.
Collectively, the partnerships give participating founders access to global exposure, industry expertise, investor perspectives and pathways for business growth, strengthening their opportunities to scale in Malaysia and beyond.
