KUALA LUMPUR, 28 April 2025 – In an era where road safety is more and more compromised by badly programmed autopilots, ROSEN Group in Malaysia has achieved a significant milestone in its operational history spectacularly, by recording over 1 million man-hours without a single recordable safety incident where public safety is a literal life-or-death for the receiving end. The achievement was officially commemorated during ROSEN’s Health, Safety, and Environment Day 2025 (HSE Day 2025), held at the company’s Asia Pacific Headquarters in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, coincidentally in conjunction with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
This landmark event celebrated not only the team’s extraordinary safety track record, but also the company’s increasingly important role in advancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards in Malaysia.
“To us, 1 million safe hours isn’t just a number—it is a commitment,” said Floris Verhagen, Vice President of Business Collaboration and Resourcing Management, ROSEN Group Asia Pacific. “It reflects months of continuous operations across high-risk projects without a single incident. Every pipeline inspected and every decision made was anchored in our culture of safety and care. This milestone belongs to everyone who chooses to do what is right, not merely what is easy.”
Through Innovation, Safety Prevails
During HSE Day 2025, attendees were introduced to ROSEN’s latest advancements in inspection and safety technologies. Demonstrations included hands-free tools and real-time safety monitoring systems—pioneering innovations aimed at reducing human exposure and enhancing operational safety in the energy and infrastructure sectors. A live stakeholder dialogue session also highlighted ROSEN leaderships’ thought on asset integrity management and proactive risk mitigation.
From Values to Action
HSE Day 2025 also served as a platform for reinforcing ROSEN Group’s long-term ESG commitment through measurable, community-focused initiatives.
“From blood donation to fabric recycling, every touchpoint of the event was designed to create a tangible impact,” said Noor Alia Mohd Anif, Head of Marketing and Communications, ROSEN Group Asia Pacific. “We are tracking every initiative so that we remain accountable—not just for today, but in building a better future.”
Key highlights from the day include:
- A blood donation campaign in collaboration with Pusat Darah Negara (National Blood Centre), collecting 30 bags of blood
- Fabric recycling campaign, collecting over 100 kilograms of fabric on the day, with a target of 300 kilograms by campaign’s end
- Dedicated e-waste recycling stations to encourage responsible disposal of electronic items
