JOHOR BAHRU, May 23, 2025 – The Platinum Business Awards (PBA) 2025 Roadshow began its nationwide journey with an energetic launch at the Austin International Convention Centre (AICC), Johor Bahru. The event welcomed over 200 participants, including entrepreneurs, business leaders, and startup founders, highlighting Johor’s thriving role in Malaysia’s business ecosystem.

Dr. Chin Chee Seong, National President of the SME Association of Malaysia, set the tone in his keynote speech, noting that the Platinum Business Awards are more than a celebration of success.
“They are a platform to honour visionary, agile businesses committed to long-term growth and responsibility,” he said.
Dr. Chin emphasized the roadshow’s goal: to inspire enterprises across East and West Malaysia to step forward, share their stories, and raise the bar for excellence.

Arthur Chiong Sen Sern, ADUN Bukit Batu, echoed this sentiment, spotlighting Johor as a vital economic hub.
“Johor is home to high-potential SMEs and tech ventures that are pivotal in driving Malaysia toward a high-income, technology-driven future,” he said. “This award encourages businesses to innovate, elevate their standards, and aim globally.”

Dennix Yeow Wah Fuong, Organising Chairman of PBA 2025, highlighted the award’s focus on three core pillars:

  • Integration: Unified, efficient operations
  • Sustainability: Long-term resilience and responsibility

“The PBA 2025 celebrates excellence across 21 categories — 17 open for nomination and 4 by invitation,” Yeow shared. “From digital innovation to community impact, we provide a stage for every strength to shine.”
