The 2025 Platinum Business Awards (PBA) National Roadshow made a vibrant stop in Klang, attracting over 100 participants from the city’s dynamic manufacturing, retail, and services sectors. Organised by the SME Association of Malaysia, the roadshow is part of a nationwide initiative to encourage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to pursue national recognition and showcase their contributions to Malaysia’s economy.
Although the scheduled guest of honour, YB Tuan Mohd Najwan Bin Halimi, was unable to attend due to prior commitments, the event retained its strong momentum. Entrepreneurs and business leaders in attendance engaged enthusiastically, signalling the importance of initiatives that celebrate SME success stories and promote broader visibility.
Inspiring Local Businesses to Aim National
Dr. Chin Chee Seong, National President of the SME Association of Malaysia, emphasized the Association’s ongoing commitment to strengthening SMEs in a rapidly evolving marketplace. “We have established a strong presence across the country through our branch and member networks, which extend beyond state lines to regional levels. This allows us to connect deeply with local businesses and truly understand their real needs,” he said. Dr. Chin also reaffirmed the Association’s role in voicing constructive proposals to government and industry stakeholders, driving forward national economic and industrial development.
“Our value lies not only in sharing information, but more importantly, in providing concrete support and becoming a dependable partner for businesses on their growth journey,” he added.
Klang Entrepreneurs Recognised for Resilience
Mr. Alan Tan Fuu Soon, President of the SME Association of Klang, spoke about Klang’s longstanding legacy of entrepreneurship.
“True business strength doesn’t lie in size, but in remaining steadfast during challenges and staying true to one’s values. Klang entrepreneurs are shining examples of steady progress and continual breakthroughs,” he said, praising Klang’s business community for their consistent drive and innovation. He noted that the Platinum Business Awards aims to honour exactly these kinds of grounded, visionary enterprises.
PBA as a Platform for Visibility and Collaboration
Mr. Dennix Yeow Wah Fuong, Organising Chairman of PBA 2025, stressed that the awards are more than a symbol of prestige – they’re a launchpad for collaboration, brand growth and market exposure. “Since its founding, the Platinum Business Awards has upheld a spirit of fairness, transparency, and professionalism in its judging process. We seek to recognise not only profit-driven businesses but also those that are value-based, socially responsible, and committed to sustainable development.” he said.
He also extended a heartfelt call to action:
“Let the nation witness your silent perseverance and tireless efforts. You are not just a regional success—you have the potential to be a national example.”
