Petaling Jaya, 6 May 2025 – The SME Association of Malaysia proudly launches the Platinum Business Awards (PBA) 2025 in a grand ceremony held at the Grand Ballroom of Sunway Resort Hotel. The launch was officiated by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, Minister of Digital Malaysia, marking a significant milestone in the celebration of entrepreneurial excellence across the nation.
Appropriately themed “Leadership, Integration, Sustainability,” this year’s awards highlight the pillars essential for thriving in today’s evolving economic landscape. The PBA continues its longstanding mission of recognising outstanding achievements and visionary leadership among Malaysian SMEs.
Over 500 SME leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry captains gathered for the prestigious and acclaimed launch event, together joined by representatives from more than 30 supporting organisations, strategic partners, and SME Malaysia’s State and Regional Branches—demonstrating a united front in driving SME empowerment towards prosperity and sustainable growth.
In his keynote address, YB Gobind Singh Deo commended the resilience and adaptability of Malaysia’s SMEs, stressing the crucial role of digital transformation and sustainable business practices in propelling the nation’s economic future.
Dr Chin Chee Seong, National President of the SME Association of Malaysia, emphasised the significance of the PBA platform:
