KLANG, MALAYSIA, May 17 – NES Security Door Marketing Sdn. Bhd. (NES), a leading Malaysian manufacturer of security and safety doors, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Skinrock AG, a Swiss-based pioneer in natural stone veneering technology. The strategic alliance is set to drive material innovation, product development, and international market expansion for both parties.

The MoU was formalised during the launch of NES’s new manufacturing facility in Klang, officiated by Datuk Hanafi Sakri, Deputy Secretary-General (Industry) of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). The facility boosts NES’s production capacity from 800 units to 2,000 units per month, further supporting its export ambitions.

The partnership unites NES’s high-quality, design-led manufacturing with Skinrock’s globally acclaimed ultra-thin, flexible natural stone veneers, widely used in premium architectural and interior design applications.

“By bringing together Skinrock’s material expertise and NES’s design-driven production, this collaboration lays the groundwork for uniquely differentiated, export-ready products,” said Datuk Hanafi. “It is a testament to the confidence in Malaysian manufacturers to deliver global-standard innovation.”

Uelli Stiffler, Founder of Skinrock AG, added: “We’re excited to deepen our Southeast Asian footprint through this collaboration. Working with NES opens new possibilities for applying our materials and demonstrates the potential of cross-border innovation between Europe and Malaysia.”

The MoU arrives amid strong momentum in Malaysia’s manufacturing sector, which recorded RM1.9 trillion in sales in 2024, with export-oriented industries contributing 70.1% of total sales. NES’s export roadmap targets Taiwan, the Philippines, and Australia in 2025, with expansion plans into North America, South Asia, and the Middle East. The company aims to reach RM45 million in annual export revenue by 2027, and pursue a public listing by 2028 with a targeted market valuation of RM400 million.

“This MoU is just the beginning,” said Dato’ Sri Dom Tee, Founder of NES. “We are building more than doors—we are building a globally competitive Malaysian brand.”
