Community development, health awareness and entrepreneurship will take centre stage this July as JCI Bandar Setia Alam launches KitaCare 2.0: Lights, Love & Lifelines, a two-day initiative designed to create meaningful social impact while strengthening community engagement.
The programme will take place on 4 and 5 July 2026 at Amerin Mall, Seri Kembangan. It will bring together businesses, healthcare advocates, entrepreneurs, community organisations, volunteers and members of the public to promote well-being, education, active citizenship and social responsibility.
Organised in conjunction with International Human Duties Day, KitaCare 2.0 aims to encourage individuals and organisations to contribute towards building a healthier, more inclusive and compassionate society.
The initiative aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3), Quality Education (SDG 4), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). Through a series of public activities and community programmes, organisers hope to demonstrate how collective action can create lasting benefits for local communities.
Four Pillars Driving Community Impact
KitaCare 2.0 is structured around four key pillars: health, education, entrepreneurship and community care.
Organisers say this holistic approach helps participants engage with social issues. It also encourages them to support long-term community development initiatives.
Supporting Healthcare Through Blood Donation

One of the event’s flagship programmes is a Two-Day Blood Donation Drive that supports community healthcare efforts.
Members of the public are encouraged to donate blood to help strengthen local blood reserves and support patients in need of life-saving treatment.
Beyond increasing blood supply, the campaign seeks to raise awareness about civic responsibility and the importance of contributing to healthcare support systems through voluntary action.
By encouraging regular blood donation, organisers hope to foster a stronger culture of community care and public health awareness.
Promoting Safety and Community Education

Another highlight of the event is the FREE React Right Safety & Adventure Discovery Workshop.
Open to youth, families, future divers, adventure enthusiasts and members of the public, the workshop introduces participants to basic emergency response awareness, safety preparedness and responsible adventure practices.
The programme aims to equip participants with practical knowledge that can be applied in everyday situations. At the same time, it promotes a culture of preparedness and resilience within the community.
As safety awareness becomes increasingly important across various recreational and outdoor activities, initiatives such as these help individuals better understand risk management and emergency response principles.
Creating Opportunities for SMEs and Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurship and business development also play a significant role in KitaCare 2.0.
A key business-focused component of the event is the JCI In Business (JIB) Networking Session, led by KitaCare 2.0 JIB Director David Tan.
The session provides entrepreneurs, SMEs, startups, professionals and corporate leaders with opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.
Networking remains an important growth strategy for many SMEs, particularly those seeking partnerships, business referrals and new market opportunities. Therefore, the session is expected to attract a diverse mix of business owners and professionals from different industries.
Complementing the networking programme is the Community & Business Exhibition Zone.
The exhibition will feature booths from participating JCI chapters, local entrepreneurs, corporate sponsors, community organisations, healthcare providers, wellness partners, Amerin Mall merchants and strategic partners.
The exhibition aims to:
- Promote entrepreneurship and innovation
- Showcase local products and services
- Encourage business networking and collaboration
- Raise awareness of health and social causes
- Foster volunteerism and community participation
A total of 10 JCI Chapters will participate in the initiative alongside exhibitors from various sectors, creating a platform that combines business development with social impact.
Health, Wellness and Community Awareness
Visitors will also have access to a variety of health and wellness exhibitors throughout the event.
Participating organisations will provide information and awareness programmes covering preventive healthcare, nutrition, wellness, mobility support and lifestyle improvement.
Among the featured exhibitors are Groway & WellAi, which will offer blood sugar and blood pressure screening, and the PERKESO B40 Health Screening Programme, which will promote community health awareness.
Etiqa will also participate with prevention and protection awareness initiatives, while Lumina will showcase health and wellness supplements.
Other exhibitors include Fitarch, which focuses on customised insoles and body alignment support, NW Mobile Eyewear, Michelle Lazar Skin Care Therapy and Nirvana, which will provide legacy planning and life awareness education.
Through these engagements, visitors will gain exposure to practical health and wellness solutions while learning more about preventive care and healthy living.
Bringing Joy to Children Through CSR Initiatives

Beyond healthcare and entrepreneurship, KitaCare 2.0 places strong emphasis on community care.
One of the programme’s most meaningful components is the Movie Edutainment Experience and Children’s CSR Programme.
Hosted at Amerin Cineplex, the initiative will welcome children from Good Samaritan Home for a special educational cinema experience.
Participants will enjoy behind-the-scenes exposure to cinema operations, educational sharing sessions and a movie screening designed to inspire learning, creativity and personal development.
In addition, CSR sponsorship efforts associated with the event will support both Good Samaritan Home and Trinity Children’s Home Association Selangor.
The initiative seeks to contribute to programmes focused on children’s welfare, education and development while creating positive experiences for young beneficiaries.
Building Stronger Communities Through Collaboration
According to Sebrinah Yeo Ling Faye, Organising Chairperson of KitaCare 2.0, the programme reflects the importance of active citizenship and collective responsibility.
“KitaCare 2.0 reflects the true spirit of active citizenship. Through health initiatives, business empowerment, education and community care, we hope to inspire more individuals and organisations to step forward and create meaningful change together,” she said.
The initiative is supported by Deputy Organising Chairperson Liew Jing Kai, who oversees strategic partnerships, sponsorship development and stakeholder engagement.
Meanwhile, JCI Bandar Setia Alam President Johhnn Goh Khai Loon leads the host chapter’s efforts to drive leadership development and community impact through meaningful projects that benefit society.
The programme also demonstrates the strength of collaboration among JCI chapters. Besides the host chapter, nine co-hosting chapters are participating, including JCI Achiever, JCI Bandar Kajang, JCI Bukit Bintang, JCI Entrepreneur, JCI Entrepreneur Metropolitan Kuala Lumpur, JCI Kuala Lumpur Mandarin, JCI Mines, JCI Petaling Jaya and JCI Seremban.
Together, these chapters showcase how leadership, volunteerism and partnerships can create sustainable community impact.
As Malaysia continues to prioritise community development and social inclusion, initiatives such as KitaCare 2.0 highlight the important role that businesses, non-governmental organisations, volunteers and young leaders can play in building stronger and more resilient communities.
