Strong Demand and Collector Status
Spectre was consistently commissioned as a collector’s item by clients around the world, confirming its place in the growing Goodwood-era collector canon as the second most demanded Rolls-Royce motor car worldwide in 2025. In its first full year of availability, Spectre outperformed both Wraith and Dawn in their debut years, clear evidence that clients were embracing Spectre as an authentic and desirable expression of the marque’s legacy. Many collectors with established Goodwood-era portfolios regarded Spectre as an essential addition.
Bespoke Commissions Reflect Long-Term Value
A significant share of the most valuable Bespoke commissions in 2025 was received by Spectre, signalling that many clients chose to commission Spectre as a long-term emotional asset rather than a short-term acquisition. These included Spectre Bailey, a tribute to a beloved dog; Spectre Soulmate, commissioned to honour a shared journey; and Spectre Lunaflair, inspired by the natural phenomenon of a lunar halo. Each commission demonstrated the emotional depth and creative range through which clients around the world were embracing Spectre.
Design Rooted in Legacy
Spectre’s design supported its perception as a future classic. Its monolithic form, elegant proportions and clean surfacing reflected a modern yet timeless interpretation of classic Rolls-Royce design principles. The split headlamps reminiscent of Phantom Coupé, the expressive Pantheon grille and sweeping fastback silhouette recalled the grace of historic Rolls-Royce coupés. Inside, Starlight Doors and the Illuminated Fascia invited new forms of Bespoke expression with the control and restraint expected of the marque.
Engineering for Longevity
Spectre was engineered as a Rolls-Royce motor car to be preserved, admired and passed on. Following the most extensive engineering validation programme in Rolls-Royce history, long-term multi-season testing confirmed exceptional battery longevity. A recent prototype Spectre indicated 99% battery capacity after more than 100,000 kilometres of real-world driving across multiple climates and geographies. Spectre was protected by a 15-year, unlimited mileage battery warranty, with future cell supply secured well beyond the middle of this century.
A Defining Moment for the Marque
“Spectre has been created with the same legacy that defines every Rolls-Royce. As the first of its kind, it marks a distinct moment in our history. Our clients understand this intuitively and commission Spectre as a Rolls-Royce to be admired and passed down for generations. This was reflected in its reception: Spectre was our most successful coupé launch to date,” said Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
Several early Goodwood-era Rolls-Royces, including Phantom Coupé, were now joining revered classics as appreciating collectables. Spectre followed in this tradition, reflecting a generational shift among collectors towards highly Bespoke electric Rolls-Royces as the marque continued to develop its future product road map.
