KUALA LUMPUR, 18 November 2025 – Fortune honored leaders on the Most Powerful Women (MPW) Asia 2025 list at the Fortune Innovation Forum 2025 at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur.  

The 2025 list featured women leaders from 14 Asia Pacific markets including mainland China, Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, India, Thailand, Japan, Australia, South Korea, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia and Macau SAR. Female leaders were selected and ranked following an assessment of their career momentum and influence, as well as their proven success in driving innovation and social impact in their businesses and across their industries.

The celebration began with the Fortune Most Powerful Women Asia Awards Presentation. Among the honorees this year were three exceptional Malaysian leaders; Ng Wei Wei, CEO, UOB Malaysia, Teh Mun Hui, CFO, Capital A and Joanne Rodrigues, Group CFO, AFFIN Group.

Ng Wei Wei, Managing Director and CEO of UOB Malaysia, “Thank you Fortune for bringing together changemakers. Leadership to me, is about being purposeful, creating impact and bringing others on the journey.

When conviction is paired with inclusion and passion, real change can happen and people are empowered to thrive.” Ng added.

Joanne Rodrigues, Group CFO of AFFIN Group, emphasized balancing stability with growth in driving financial services forward. “Trust and stability are everything, but that doesn’t mean standing still. We are investing in technology, strengthening our teams, and making decisions that position us for sustainable growth.”

The MPW Asia Awards Presentation was followed by the Forum’s Gala Dinner, where Dr. Malina Ngai, Group CEO of AS Watson and an MPW Asia honoree, shared her perspective with delegates on what it takes to grow the world’s largest health and beauty retailer – which currently has more 17,000 stores worldwide, including 700 in Malaysia. 


Fortune also hosted an invitation-only breakfast and panel discussion titled “Reinvention as a Leadership Strategy” which featured leaders such as Anne Tse, CEO, Asia Pacific, PepsiCo, Wendy Tan White, CEO, Intrinsic, Datin Sri Thapanee Techajareonvikul, CEO and President, Berli Jucker (BJC), Ingrid Sidiadinoto, Senior Managing Director for Singapore and Malaysia, UPS, and Omi Dang, Chairwoman, AgriS. 

The MPW Asia awards ceremony and leadership events were part of the two-day Fortune Innovation Forum 2025. The forum explored the next phase of innovation and technological revolution, as leaders and industry players navigate upheaval to create opportunities in technology and AI; as well as the ​energy, finance, food and health sectors.
