In a strong showing for Malaysia’s investment landscape, InvestKL secured RM2.8 billion in committed investments during the first half of 2025, further positioning Greater Kuala Lumpur as a rising regional hub for modern, innovation-led global services.
These investments have led to the establishment of five new regional hubs and the creation of 1,197 high-skilled jobs, reinforcing Malaysia’s push for economic resilience through high-value service sectors.
Global Companies Bet on Greater KL
The new regional setups span a diverse range of high-impact industries:
- IT Infrastructure – A Mainframe Centre of Excellence from the world’s largest IT infrastructure services provider.
- Healthcare – A Global Business Services Hub by a major consumer healthcare group to manage Southeast Asian operations.
- Advanced Manufacturing – A multifunctional Regional Hub by a global materials science and digital ID leader.
- Financial Services – A Centre of Excellence providing asset servicing, compliance, and IT support.
- Renewable Energy – A digital-first Global Services Hub driving green transformation and sustainability across the region.

The newly created roles will cover regional leadership, specialist, and support functions, with average executive salaries surpassing RM11,700 per month. These high-value opportunities reflect Malaysia’s strategic emphasis on nurturing skilled local talent to support global operations.
