As Malaysia gears up for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, MyRehat is leading the charge to prepare the nation’s short-term rental market for the expected tourism surge. On 19 July 2025, the company hosted its annual MyRehat Masterclass 2025, a full-day event aimed at empowering property hosts and SMEs with the strategies and tools they need to grow.

The event brought together key players from tourism, finance, tech, and travel. Among the featured speakers was Encik Noor Azman Samsudin, Deputy Senior Director of the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), who outlined major ASEAN tourism trends and Malaysia’s positioning in the region.
Hands-On Strategies for Business Growth
The Masterclass delivered practical, future-focused guidance on how to scale short-term rental businesses. Participants learned how to:
- Secure financing through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN)
- Optimise property listings on Booking.com
- Digitise operations with tools from Unifi Business
- Adapt to evolving guest preferences for experiential stays

“The Masterclass is part of our mission to build a thriving ecosystem for short-term rental hosts. It’s not just about property—it’s about people, experiences, and growing together. With Visit Malaysia Year 2026 around the corner, there’s no better time for hosts to step up,” said Zainal Zikri Zainal Abidin, Chief Experience Officer of MyRehat.
A Platform for the Next Generation of Hosts
MyRehat’s ambition extends beyond the local scene. It aims to create a strong, cross-border ecosystem of hosts offering authentic, tech-powered guest experiences. The company is expanding throughout Asia, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, and the Philippines.
The Masterclass also featured Ahyat Ishak, Property Analyst, and Ahmad Faisal, Managing Director of Luzzeri Group. Their sessions focused on property performance and investment strategy. Additionally, Booking.com experts helped demystify listing optimisation, while Unifi Business drew the highest footfall at their booth, proving the demand for business-ready digital solutions.
