FCM Travel has launched FCM Proactive Analytics, a new corporate travel management tool that monitors travel programmes and delivers regular spending insights to help businesses identify cost and compliance risks before they escalate.
Launched on 6 October 2026 in Singapore, the tool analyses corporate travel data around the clock and sends reports directly to customers and FCM Account Managers. It aims to reduce manual reporting work, improve cost control and help travel managers make more informed decisions.
The launch marks the second of three data capabilities that FCM Travel is developing. The company already offers interactive dashboards through its FCM Platform and plans to introduce a conversational analytics tool in the coming months.
Automated Travel Analytics Helps Businesses Manage Costs
Corporate travel managers often rely on dashboards that require manual checks or scheduled reports that may reveal problems too late. FCM Proactive Analytics aims to address this challenge by delivering insights directly to users without requiring them to log in or request reports manually.
At launch, the tool covers several areas of corporate travel spending, including hotel expenditure by city, airline costs and carrier trends, route performance, and concentrations of traveller spending. Customers can receive analysis weekly, monthly or quarterly.
By identifying spending patterns and potential compliance gaps earlier, the tool helps businesses intervene before issues affect their travel budgets. It also provides written insights that travel managers can use in management presentations, stakeholder discussions and programme reviews.
Jessica Dunderdale, Global Head of Product for FCM Travel, said the new capability strengthens the relationship between travel management technology and personalised customer support.
“A managed travel programme has always been about more than bookings – it’s about having someone in your corner who understands your business,” she said.
“Proactive Analytics strengthens that relationship: our technology does the watching, so our people can do the advising. For customers, that means a travel programme that isn’t just managed but genuinely looked after.”
FCM Expands Its Corporate Travel Data Capabilities
FCM Proactive Analytics builds on FCM Platform, which provides businesses with interactive dashboards, governed reporting and benchmarking. Together, these capabilities give customers three ways to access and use their corporate travel data.
The first is dashboard-based reporting, which lets customers explore key performance indicators (KPIs), compare benchmarks and generate reports using agreed metric definitions.
The second is proactive monitoring through FCM Proactive Analytics. Instead of searching for information, customers receive regular analysis and recommendations directly in their inboxes.
The third capability, FCM MCP (Model Context Protocol) technology, is scheduled to launch in the coming months. It will allow customers to ask questions about their travel data in natural language through their existing AI tools, using the same defined metrics that underpin FCM’s reporting environment.
FCM Consulting can also help businesses address wider operational issues when analytics reveal opportunities for structural improvements. This approach aims to move corporate travel management beyond retrospective reporting towards more strategic, forward-looking discussions.
Data Governance and AI Integration Remain Priorities
As businesses increasingly adopt AI-powered analytics, data governance remains an important consideration. FCM says Proactive Analytics operates within its existing governed data environment and does not use customer data to train third-party AI models.
The company also plans to introduce real-time, trigger-based alerts, allowing customers to respond more quickly when urgent travel spending or compliance issues arise.
Future developments will expand FCM MCP’s capabilities by connecting travel data with other business systems, including human resources, sales and expense management platforms. This could give companies a more connected view of their operations and help them make decisions using information from multiple departments.
With the launch of Proactive Analytics, FCM Travel is expanding its corporate travel technology offering to help businesses monitor expenditure, strengthen compliance and reduce the administrative burden of travel reporting. Its planned conversational analytics and real-time alerts will further develop this approach, supporting more proactive and data-driven travel programme management.
