Rework.com, a global technology company with more than one million users across 12,000 companies, has unveiled its Agentic Operating System (Agentic OS) for Business in Malaysia, aiming to help organisations move beyond isolated AI experiments and integrate artificial intelligence into everyday business operations.
Launched at Rework Launch 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, the platform brings people, AI agents, business data and operational workflows together within a single connected environment.
The launch comes as businesses increasingly explore how AI can move beyond individual tools and become part of how work is actually performed. Rework positions its Agentic OS around a model in which humans and AI agents can work together across interconnected business services, enabling organisations to execute tasks faster, improve operational efficiency and reuse accumulated business knowledge and context.
Moving Beyond Isolated AI Tools
Traditional business software has largely been designed around the assumption that people perform the work while software stores information and organises processes. As AI becomes increasingly capable of executing tasks, Rework believes organisations will need to reconsider how responsibilities are shared between people and AI.
For Malaysian businesses, the shift comes against a backdrop of significant investment in the country’s digital economy. According to MDEC, Malaysia recorded RM87.4 billion in digital investments in 2025.
However, AI adoption remains uneven. A Strand Partners report cited by Rework found that 67% of AI adopters in Malaysia still rely primarily on basic applications such as chatbots, while only 19% have a formal strategy for scaling AI across multiple business functions.
Rework Founder and CEO Eric Pham said the challenge is not necessarily a lack of investment or access to large language models, but the absence of business infrastructure that allows AI to become embedded in everyday operations.
“Malaysian businesses’ AI adoption gap is not due to lack of investment or large language model; it is a lack of business infrastructure that lets AI move beyond isolated tools into the way work actually gets done.”
He added that Rework’s Agentic OS for Business is intended to help businesses move from fragmented AI use towards what the company describes as a truly agentic business.
Building Organisational Intelligence
As AI models and capabilities continue to advance, Rework believes AI itself may increasingly become commoditised. In this environment, the company argues that competitive advantage could depend less on access to a particular AI model and more on how effectively businesses apply AI to their own operations and knowledge.
The Agentic OS is designed to provide a shared operating environment for people and AI agents, allowing organisations to capture and reuse operating knowledge, decisions, processes, customer history and accumulated experience.
Rework refers to this accumulated knowledge as organisational intelligence.
“Agentic OS for Business provides a shared operating environment for humans and AI that allows businesses to capture and reuse their operating knowledge, decisions, processes, customer history and accumulated experience,” Pham said.
The approach is intended to allow AI agents to develop a deeper understanding of how an organisation operates rather than functioning as disconnected tools.
Two Layers Power the Agentic OS
Rework’s Agentic OS for Business consists of two core layers: its Intelligence Architecture and Business Services.
The Intelligence Architecture forms the underlying intelligence layer connecting and powering the business. It includes centralised business outputs, compounding business knowledge and a multi-AI-agent stack spanning Service AI, AI Assistant, AI Desktop and Workflow AI.
The second layer, Business Services, consists of hundreds of interconnected, ready-to-use operating services organised around key business functions.
These include Marketing Operating Services, covering areas such as lead monitoring and nurturing, prospect engagement, customer messaging, campaign monitoring, partner management and event services.
Sales Operating Services support pipeline management, opportunity-to-revenue workflows, quotations, orders, invoicing, field sales and distribution management.
Meanwhile, Work Operating Services cover requests, projects, business processes, datasets and cross-functional work orchestration.
For human resources and employee administration, People Operating Services include employee services, leave management, timesheets and payroll.
The platform also includes Communication Services for chat, town halls, meetings and other organisation-wide communications.
Together, these layers are intended to give AI agents the context, knowledge and capabilities required to understand business operations, execute work and coordinate activities across an organisation.
A Shared Environment for Humans and AI
Rework Co-Founder and COO Brian Trinh said businesses should be able to continuously improve how work is performed rather than simply adding new AI tools to existing software systems.
“The opportunity in the AI era is not simply to add another AI tool to an existing software stack. Businesses need to rethink how work is designed, how context is captured, and how people and AI agents operate together.”
According to Trinh, the Agentic OS is designed to provide organisations with a practical foundation for making this transition.
The platform therefore positions AI integration as an operational transformation rather than simply another layer of software. By connecting business services, organisational knowledge and AI agents, Rework aims to help companies incorporate AI into workflows across different functions.
Rework Brings Agentic AI to Malaysia
Rework’s inaugural launch event in Malaysia brought together approximately 150 senior business leaders. The event featured keynote sessions on the intelligence age and the latest evolution of Rework, alongside product demonstrations and customer success stories.
The launch also marks the availability of Rework Agentic OS for Business in Malaysia, giving local organisations an option to explore how AI agents can be integrated across their business operations.
Interested businesses can book a demonstration and explore Rework’s AI integration options through the company’s website.
