BMW Malaysia has opened a second batch allocation of 50 additional units of the New Locally Assembled BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport, following strong customer interest in the premium compact model.
Announced on 27 August 2026, the additional allocation gives more Malaysian customers the opportunity to own the BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport, which combines dynamic M Sport design, advanced driver assistance, refined driving dynamics and enhanced digital connectivity.
Locally assembled in Malaysia, the model is designed to offer a compelling combination of performance, technology and premium comfort in a compact Gran Coupé.
Dynamic M Sport design meets premium technology
The New BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport features a distinctive exterior with the BMW Kidney Iconic Glow grille, Adaptive LED headlights, 18-inch M light alloy wheels, High-Gloss Shadowline trim and an M Sport rear diffuser.
Inside, the model is equipped with the BMW Curved Display and BMW Live Cockpit Professional running on BMW Operating System 9. Other premium features include an M leather steering wheel, M anthracite headliner, Head-Up Display and Harman Kardon HiFi loudspeaker system.
The BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine producing 115 kW (156 hp) and 230 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds.
Adaptive M Suspension is designed to enhance both agility and ride comfort, while Driving Assistant Plus and Parking Assistant Plus provide additional support and confidence on the road.
Enhanced digital connectivity
The compact Gran Coupé also comes with a range of connected technologies designed to enhance the ownership experience.
These include the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with Amazon Alexa integration, BMW Digital Premium, Personal eSIM, Remote Software Upgrades and BMW Digital Key Plus.
Together, these features provide drivers with greater connectivity and convenience while keeping the BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport aligned with the brand’s focus on digitalisation and modern premium mobility.
BMW expands its premium ownership package
BMW Group Malaysia is also offering a comprehensive suite of ownership services under its “Relax. We Care.” service promise.
BMW Proactive Care continuously monitors the vehicle’s condition using real-time sensor data to identify potential issues before they become serious. When a possible fault or maintenance requirement is detected, an alert is automatically sent through the My BMW App or the vehicle’s iDrive system.
For the New BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport, the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) programme includes a four-year unlimited-mileage warranty, alongside four years or 80,000km of service coverage.
Owners also receive BMW Roadside Assistance, providing 24/7 emergency support that includes towing, courtesy cars and hotel accommodation in the event of an emergency.
Financing starts from RM2,284 per month
BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia is offering customers several financing options for the New BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport.
Under the Easy Drive Financing programme, monthly instalments start from RM2,441 based on an 80% margin of finance over five years, annual mileage of 20,000km and after deducting an Easy Drive Cash Rebate of RM5,000.
Alternatively, Straight-Line Financing offers monthly instalments starting from RM2,284, based on an 80% margin of finance over seven years.
Customers financing through BMW Easy Drive can also enjoy BMW Protection+ Insurance, which provides coverage including accidental death or permanent disability benefits, vehicle break-in protection, hire purchase loan repayment protection and guaranteed asset protection.
Additional benefits include key care, special relief in the event of total loss or theft, rim damage coverage, compassionate flood cover and scratch and dent protection.
BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport priced from RM192,800
The recommended retail price for the New BMW 218 Gran Coupé M Sport is RM192,800 on the road without insurance.
The model is also available with four-year BMW Service & Repair Inclusive at a recommended retail price of RM204,800.
Owners will receive BMW Group Malaysia’s Premium Ownership experience, which includes BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline as well as BMW Service Online.
BMW Referral Programme rewards existing owners
BMW Malaysia is also continuing its BMW Referral Programme, which rewards existing BMW owners for introducing friends and family to the brand.

Eligible BMW owners who successfully refer a new customer to purchase a BMW can receive RM1,000 in BMW Lifestyle credits, while the new customer also receives RM1,000 in BMW Lifestyle credits following successful vehicle purchase and delivery from an authorised BMW dealership.
The programme is open to BMW owners regardless of how long they have owned their vehicle, with multiple referrals permitted subject to programme validation and fair-use requirements.
The BMW Referral Programme is valid until 30 September 2026.
