Friday 9 January 2026, Goodwood, West Sussex — 2025 marked a defining year for Bespoke at Rolls-Royce, not only in terms of artistic output but in the evolution of craft, material expression, and the commissioning experience itself. Rolls-Royce clients’ passions and interests were reflected in Bespoke trends that extended from personal legacy and cultural symbolism to contemporary collectables.

The year reflected the success of Rolls-Royce Private Offices around the world, with commissions from these creative hubs more than doubling year-on-year. This period also saw the introduction of new materials and innovations, including three-dimensional ink layering, marquetry and embroidery, 24-carat gold leafing, polished concrete and a fully hand-painted Starlight Headliner.

“In 2025, Rolls-Royce Bespoke reached new creative and technical heights, extending far beyond traditional boundaries. This was a year defined by thematic richness, global collaboration and artistic evolution. The astonishing creative execution of these themes is enabled through the extraordinary talents found at the Home of Rolls-Royce, our Bespoke Collective and the expanding reach of our Private Office spaces around the world. Our clients’ increasing interest and engagement in more ambitious commissions are realised in our joint pursuit of perfection. Every motor car is a singular expression of its owner’s vision, and together they reflect the spirit of innovation, craft, and cultural fluency that defines Rolls-Royce today,” said Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

It was also the first year of operation for the marque’s full suite of global Private Offices, located in Dubai, Seoul, Shanghai and New York, alongside the original Private Office at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. These unique spaces enabled clients to collaborate more deeply and imaginatively than ever before, resulting in more than double the number of Private Office commissions year-on-year. Many of these commissions led to the introduction of entirely new techniques, materials and approaches during 2025.

Several disciplines entered new dimensions as embroidery, marquetry and printing were reimagined in sculptural form. These included self-supporting thread structures for three-dimensional embroideries, specially developed three-dimensional ink layering techniques and complex three-dimensional marquetry. New materials such as 24-carat gold leaf, polished concrete and a patented fragrance concept for the interior suite further expanded the marque’s repertoire.

The Most Complex Private Collection Ever

The many Bespoke innovations in 2025 reflected a defining mindset: the vision came first, and Rolls-Royce shaped the technology and material world to meet it. This philosophy was vividly represented by the Phantom Centenary Private Collection, created to honour 100 years of the Phantom nameplate.

The collection was strictly limited to 25 examples and represented the most technologically complex and creatively ambitious Private Collection motor car in Rolls-Royce history. It was the result of three years of development and more than 40,000 collective hours of work.

The motor car featured a Bespoke two-tone exterior paint recalling the elegance and glamour of Hollywood’s black and white era, finished with a specially developed Super Champagne Crystal finish and crowned with a solid gold Spirit of Ecstasy. Inside, the Private Collection told Phantom’s remarkable story through exceptional Bespoke features, including the Anthology Gallery, high-resolution printed fabric with 160,000 stitches, a Starlight Headliner using more than 440,000 stitches, and the most intricate woodwork ever crafted for a Rolls-Royce, incorporating three-dimensional marquetry, three-dimensional ink layering and 24-carat gold leafing.

Distinctive Creative Themes

The Bespoke motor cars of 2025 revealed a series of distinct creative themes, drawing on family, memory and legacy, the natural world, art, architecture, cultural symbolism and contemporary collectables. Together, these themes represented the most compelling creative directions of the year and reflected an ongoing expansion of what it meant to create a Rolls-Royce.

From childhood letters and generational gifts to celestial tributes and love stories, many commissions reflected personal legacies and intimate milestones. Others explored resilience, renewal and serenity inspired by nature, while additional commissions reinterpreted vintage video games, couture lace, ancient mural painting and cultural legends through a contemporary lens.

Rolls-Royce presented these defining themes and innovations through a selection of the 5,664 motor cars created for clients around the world in 2025.

Expanding the Language of Bespoke

In 2025, the growth of Bespoke extended beyond motor cars, as clients increasingly looked to the marque to express their tastes and preferences in private spaces. Requests for table-top and boutique pieces increased year-on-year, reflecting a broader shift in how clients engaged with the marque’s creative capabilities.

Among the most popular items was the Rolls-Royce Cameo desktop sculpture, which premiered in a new Black Badge treatment and saw demand rise significantly. Also launched was the Rolls-Royce Chess Set, reimagined as a sculptural, hand-crafted centrepiece, with individualisation options echoing the commissioning process of a Bespoke motor car.

Building for a Bespoke Future

As clients explored increasingly ambitious expressions of Bespoke, supported by the global Private Office network, Rolls-Royce continued building for the future. Progress advanced rapidly on the £300m+ site extension at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, providing additional space and facilities for Bespoke and Coachbuild demand.

Asia Pacific Milestones

In 2025, Rolls-Royce achieved its strongest year ever across the Asia Pacific region, with strong demand for all models. Clients were increasingly drawn to create ever more ambitious and valuable motor cars through highly personalised experiences.

Private Office Seoul was opened in response to this demand and celebrated its first anniversary. Retail experience advanced with redesigned luxury showrooms unveiled in Japan, Korea and Auckland, with further updates planned throughout 2026. Asia Pacific remained a region defined by appreciation for authentic craftsmanship, individuality and timeless luxury.
