Serdang, 8 May 2025 – smart Malaysia electrified the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 with two major highlights: the highly anticipated public preview of the all-new smart #5, and the official opening of bookings for the exclusive smart #1 BRABUS Limited Edition. Striking in presence with its bold, boxy silhouette, short overhangs, and frameless doors, the smart #5 features signature design elements such as a panoramic halo roof, dual-tone side mirrors, and playful detailing throughout. With a spacious 2,900mm wheelbase and a body length of 4,695mm, it offers both visual dynamism and functional space.
Inside, a one-button Comfort Mode transforms the cabin into a luxurious relaxation suite. Oak wood accents, 256-colour ambient lighting, and fold-flat rear seats turn it into a king-size in-car lounge. With up to 1,530 litres of rear storage, a 72-litre frunk, and 34 smart compartments, it is designed for both daily convenience and weekend adventures.
The smart OS, powered by an AMD V2000 chip and built on Unreal Engine, delivers a next-gen digital experience through a 25.6-inch AR-HUD, dual 13-inch AMOLED screens, and AI voice interaction via a virtual assistant named Leo. The immersive experience is enhanced by a 20-speaker Sennheiser Signature Sound System.
Built on a high-tech EV platform, the smart #5 boasts a 100kWh battery with up to 590 km WLTP range and 800V ultra-fast charging, achieving 10–80% charge in just 15 minutes. Off-road capability is enhanced with drive modes including Sand, Snow, Mud, Rock, and Adaptive. A built-in 3.3kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet offers power for outdoor gear and electronics—perfect for adventure.

Sporting a distinctive BRABUS aerodynamic kit with custom spoilers, fascia inserts, and a rear diffuser, the car sits on BRABUS sport springs that lower its stance by 35mm for enhanced handling. Bold 19-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels add to its aggressive look.
Inside, the cabin features BRABUS-exclusive detailing with red stitching, piping, and finishes, along with backlit scuff plates and aluminium pedals. This electrified powerhouse is designed for enthusiasts who crave a sportier, more visceral EV experience.
