The programme, which took place at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, was officiated by YB Tuan Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade & Mobility, and was attended by the Batu Tiga State Assemblyman (ADUN), YB Tuan Danial Al-Rashid bin Haron Aminar Rashid.
In his speech, YB Tuan Ng Sze Han emphasised that Selangor remains the economic engine of the nation, contributing 26.2% to Malaysia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2024, and that this economic growth is directly translated into benefits for the people through quality employment opportunities.
“Investor confidence in Selangor’s strong ecosystem has enabled us to record the creation of 43,998 job opportunities for the period of January to September 2025. This is the highest number in Malaysia, further proving the success of the state government’s policies in attracting high-quality investments,” he said.
The LBC programme served as a platform to generate an economic spillover effect for local businesses. Multinational companies and investors in Selangor require a strong support chain, including local suppliers, logistics, and professional services.
“Through today’s networking and business matching sessions, we want to ensure that local entrepreneurs are not merely observers, but become strategic partners in Selangor’s economic value chain,” added YB Tuan Ng Sze Han.
Meanwhile, Batu Tiga State Assemblyman, YB Tuan Danial Al-Rashid bin Haron Aminar Rashid, described the organisation of the programme as a golden opportunity for entrepreneurs and job seekers in the area.
“This initiative successfully gathered 250 participants consisting of entrepreneurs, investors, and industry players. I am very pleased to see that this programme is also supported by agencies such as PERKESO, which brought direct job opportunities to Batu Tiga residents through a career exhibition,” he said.
He added that the programme is aligned with his aspiration to see more residents obtain stable and well-paying jobs, as well as enabling local entrepreneurs to gain access to a broader market.
The programme also received strategic cooperation from various agencies, including the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), Yayasan Hijrah Selangor, and the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA).
