The eyewear industry in Malaysia is on a steady upward trend. According to Statista, revenue in Malaysia’s eyewear market is projected to reach US$558.88 million by 2025, supported by a CAGR of 3.25%.
Key drivers behind this growth include increased screen exposure, greater awareness of eye health, and a shift toward eyewear that balances fashion with functionality. As a result, demand for stylish, functional, and personalised eyewear has surged, fundamentally reshaping the Malaysian optical industry.
Recognising these shifts, Pott Glasses is preparing to expand into the presbyopia market, addressing age-related farsightedness among individuals over 40. The launch of its Multifocal Specialist service will provide customised eyecare solutions, creating new growth opportunities and revenue streams.
