Serdang, 15 June 2025 – The Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) successfully concluded its 2025 Annual National General Assembly yesterday, during which all 35 nominated candidates for the 14th National Council were elected unopposed, signaling strong consensus and unity within the Chamber. The newly elected council will serve the 2025–2028 term.

Presiding over the assembly, MCCC President Loo Koo Seong emphasised that the true value of a chamber lies in trust, connectivity, and resource integration. He stated that chambers should not view one another as competitors, but rather as partners and companions working towards shared progress.

“With the formation of the new National Council, the incoming leadership bears the important responsibility of elevating MCCC to a more professional, globally aligned phase of development,” said Loo.

“I hope the new council will carry out three key missions: first, to stay closer to members by understanding their real business needs and solving practical challenges; second, to embrace inclusivity by attracting enterprises of diverse backgrounds and encouraging participation from the younger generation; and third, to proactively connect with government, academia, and international organisations to expand the Chamber’s impact.”

Loo acknowledged that since MCCC’s founding in June 1990, its continued growth has not been the result of any single individual or term of leadership, but rather the trust and enthusiastic participation of every member. He expressed hope that the Chamber will continue to attract local businesses eager to expand into the China and ASEAN markets, fostering deeper and broader networks.

“As long as we remain united, MCCC will continue to be a key driver of Malaysia-China economic collaboration amid shifting global tides.”
