With trade patterns evolving and regulations tightening, FedEx strengthens its support through expert guidance, digital innovation, and enhanced regional connectivity.

Navigating a Changing Trade Landscape

As global trade patterns continue to shift, FedEx is helping businesses in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region strengthen their competitiveness. The company is introducing new digital tools, expert guidance, and regional programs to help enterprises—both SMEs and large corporations—adapt to changing tariffs and trade routes.

Through a series of educational webinars and AI-powered logistics tools, FedEx enables companies to improve compliance, cut costs, and unlock new growth opportunities across intra-Asia and Europe.

Recently, FedEx hosted sessions in nine APAC markets, reaching over 3,800 participants. The discussions focused on practical strategies to manage customs clearance and tariff changes, especially after recent U.S. de minimis rule updates.

Trade Shifts: APAC Looks Beyond the U.S.

Insights from these webinars revealed that while one in four APAC businesses still see the U.S. as their primary export market, over 40% are now shifting their focus toward Intra-Asia (22%) and Europe (21%).

As a result, many businesses are prioritising:

  • Stronger cost control and better duty visibility.
  • Faster access to compliance and customs information.
  • More streamlined digital processes for export and import.

“As a trusted trade practitioner, we are working closely with our customers to ensure they maintain efficient access to vital markets,” said Salil Chari, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Customer Experience, Asia Pacific, FedEx. “By combining deep regulatory expertise, innovative digital tools, and the strength of our global network, we help Asia Pacific businesses improve cost and duty transparency, reduce clearance friction, and unlock new growth opportunities across the region and Europe with confidence.”

Expert Guidance for Regulatory Readiness

Since 24% of businesses now seek direct access to trade experts, FedEx continues to offer around-the-clock support through its extensive global network spanning 220 countries and territories.

The FedEx U.S. Tariff Hub remains a central resource for businesses. It provides up-to-date information on customs rules, tariffs, and documentation, ensuring companies can stay compliant and avoid unnecessary delays.

Moreover, FedEx experts regularly advise businesses on documentation accuracy and customs readiness, helping them navigate international markets more efficiently.

AI-Powered Digital Tools for Smarter Shipping

To meet rising demand for speed and precision, FedEx has expanded its range of AI-driven logistics tools. These include an HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code lookup system and an AI chatbot that assists with documentation and HS code classification.

Together, these tools enhance shipment predictability and reduce clearance times. In turn, businesses can improve operational efficiency while maintaining compliance across multiple markets.

Strengthening Regional and Global Connectivity

To support regional diversification, FedEx continues to strengthen Intra-Asia and Asia–Europe trade routes.

Key updates include:

  • The launch of the Go-To Europe Hub in Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, and Singapore, offering SMEs targeted insights and market resources.
  • New direct flight routes connecting South Korea and Taiwan, alongside expanded Korea–Vietnam services linked to the Asia Pacific Hub in Guangzhou.

These upgrades improve delivery times, support regional trade growth, and give exporters more options to access new markets efficiently.
