The 2025 campaign focused on enabling Malaysian SMEs to establish credible and competitive digital identities, supporting the country’s digital transformation. Participants registered were selected .MY domain names with Exabytes through new purchases or renewals, with longer subscriptions earning more entries for the Tesla Model Y grand prize.

The strong response reflected growing awareness among Malaysian businesses of the importance of digital readiness. More than 20,000 businesses participated, generating over 70,000 entries, highlighting rising demand for trusted local domains, reliable digital infrastructure, and scalable online solutions to support long-term growth.

Through its GROW Digital initiative, Exabytes continued to help Malaysian businesses strengthen their online presence via domain registration, web hosting, cloud services, and digital solutions. Its partnership with MYNIC reinforced the value of local domain ownership in building credibility, trust, and brand identity in an increasingly competitive digital landscape.

Commenting on the initiative, Eric Foo said, “Digital transformation is accelerating, and SMEs must move with it. Our campaign aimed to empower Malaysian businesses to strengthen their digital foundations, and the overwhelming response shows just how important digitalisation is for future-ready growth.”

Encik Hafiz Shahrel Hanafiah added, “A strong digital presence starts with a trusted digital identity. Through this collaboration with Exabytes, we encourage Malaysian businesses to register a .MY domain name, an identity that reflects credibility, local trust, and national pride. Initiatives like this are crucial in helping SMEs adopt digital solutions and grow confidently in Malaysia’s digital economy.”

Highlighting the connection between digital adoption and forward-thinking innovation, the Tesla Model Y grand prize symbolised the campaign’s focus on shaping Malaysia’s business future. Exabytes and MYNIC will continue initiatives to deepen digital adoption, emphasising AI-powered solutions, cybersecurity, and smart digital marketing to drive business growth and trust in Malaysia’s digital economy.
