Strategic partnership marks launch of CIMB’s Digital Labs Innovation Programme, embedding financial solutions into Remedi’s digital health platforms

In a strategic move to support the digitalisation of Malaysia’s healthcare industry, CIMB Bank Berhad (CIMB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Remedi Innovations Sdn. Bhd. (Remedi), a leading provider of cloud-based clinic management solutions.

This collaboration kickstarts the CIMB Digital Labs Innovation Programme, an initiative designed to embed financial tools and services into the everyday platforms used by small and medium enterprises (SMEs). By teaming up with Remedi, CIMB is positioning itself at the forefront of digital innovation in the health-tech ecosystem, helping healthcare SMEs streamline operations, access financial services, and focus more on patient care.

“Healthcare is a high-growth sector in Malaysia, and we see great potential to drive innovation through digital ecosystems. This partnership enables us to deliver tailored, sector-specific financial solutions that improve operational efficiency and long-term resilience,” said Lawrence Loh, Co-CEO of Group Commercial and Transaction Banking, CIMB Group.

This partnership between CIMB and Remedi signals a transformative shift in how healthcare SMEs in Malaysia will operate moving forward. By integrating CIMB’s financial services directly into Remedi’s digital infrastructure, primarily its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and clinic management platforms, healthcare providers will now have streamlined access to tools that were previously disconnected from their primary operations.

The benefits extend well beyond convenience. By consolidating operational and financial workflows into a single digital environment, this collaboration empowers healthcare providers to significantly improve their efficiency and financial oversight. Most importantly, the time and resources saved can now be redirected to where they matter most: delivering high-quality care to patients.

“We’re not just streamlining workflows—we’re transforming how healthcare SMEs operate,” said Dr. Khairul Faizi Khalid, Managing Director of Remedi. “Our partnership with CIMB will enable clinics to manage both financial and patient data on a single platform, creating a more efficient and care-focused ecosystem.”

CIMB’s collaboration with Remedi goes beyond a standalone effort. It is a significant step forward within the healthcare ecosystem, emphasizing commitment to building meaningful partnerships that drive change. Coming on the heels of a similar agreement with Pharmaniaga Berhad, this partnership reinforces CIMB’s ongoing commitment to advancing digitalisation through the healthcare supply chain.

By leveraging Remedi’s strong presence across more than 500 clinics nationwide, the partnership also paves the way for greater scale and reach. Healthcare providers within CIMB’s network will now have direct access to Remedi’s cloud-based platform, which is designed to streamline clinic workflows and improve patient services. In turn, Remedi stands to benefit from CIMB’s extensive infrastructure, granting its users the ability to tap into an array of seamlessly integrated tools that support sustainable business growth within a digital-first healthcare ecosystem.

Together, the two organizations aim to accelerate the digital transformation of Malaysia’s healthcare SME landscape, contributing to a more connected, resilient, and patient-centric future.
