CelcomDigi Berhad, Malaysia’s largest mobile network operator, has launched a range of AI-powered business solutions to help companies work smarter, serve customers better, and collaborate more effectively.
The CelcomDigi Innovation Centre built these tools entirely in-house. After testing them internally with strong results, the company will soon offer them to the market through an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) model. This makes advanced AI accessible for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) without requiring major upfront investment.
AI Solutions Designed for Real Business Needs
CelcomDigi first showcased the suite at the ASEAN AI Summit 2025. The solutions include:
- AI for Productivity – A digital assistant that automates routine tasks, delivers relevant insights, and frees teams to focus on high-value work.
- AI for Workplace Efficiency – Tools like the AI Business Case Assistant, which creates data-driven proposals with ROI analysis, and the Instant Scope of Work Assistant, which generates structured contracts in minutes.
- AI for Service Excellence – An intelligent contact centre system that speeds up query resolution and enhances customer satisfaction.
- AI for Smarter Collaboration – The AI Mirror prototype, designed to personalise employee engagement and build workplace culture while fostering innovation.

“These solutions reflect the practical problem-solving our teams are achieving with AI. Built entirely in-house, we are seeing improvements in delivering operational efficiencies for us. While we continue refining them internally and integrating AI first into every layer of our operations and connected experiences, we are now exploring how some can be adapted into accessible AIaaS offerings, particularly for SMEs, so they can tap into AI without heavy capital investment. It also demonstrates the depth of our digital talent, which is central to our ambition of evolving into a telco-tech company,” said CelcomDigi’s Chief Innovation Officer, T. Kugan.
Driving Malaysia’s AI Transformation
CelcomDigi continues to transform into an AI-driven telco-tech company. It invests heavily in workforce upskilling, cross-functional projects, and a culture that encourages experimentation.
The company also operates the AI Experience Centre (AiX). Here, visitors can explore 5G-AI-powered innovations such as HoloMedicine® for mixed-reality surgical planning, telemedicine to connect rural patients with doctors, and Malaysia’s first 5G AI-integrated logistics automation system.
These initiatives strengthen CelcomDigi’s role in shaping Malaysia’s digital economy and advancing AI adoption across industries.
