KUALA LUMPUR, 17 June 2025 – Ai-CHA, the fast-rising Indonesian ice cream and tea brand, has officially secured its place in the Malaysian Book of Records (MBR) after opening 300 outlets nationwide within just 12 months — an average of nearly one new store every day.

The remarkable achievement earned Ai-CHA two national records: “Most Ice Cream Chain Stores Opened in a Year” and “Most Beverage Chain Stores Opened in a Year”. In addition, the brand was honoured with the 2025/2026 Consumer Choice Award by the National Consumer Action Council (MTPN) following an independent audit of store quality, customer satisfaction, and operational standards. The award was presented by MTPN Deputy President, Prof. Jericho Tang Kit Wai.

To commemorate the milestone, Ai-CHA launched a four-day celebration — “Ai-CHA Love You 300X” — at Fahrenheit 88, Bukit Bintang, starting today. The event features brand activations, giveaways, and a unique installation of 300 penguin figurines, inspired by Ai-CHA’s cheerful mascot CACHA.

“Our mascot, CACHA, represents more than just fun and flavour—it embodies our brand spirit: cheerful, caring, and connected to the community. We aim to bring people together and spread happiness through every ice cream and cup of drink we serve,” said Vincent Ong, Country Director of Ai-CHA Malaysia.

Ong credited the brand’s rapid expansion to strong consumer support and a highly accessible franchise model. With initial investment starting from under RM100,000, Ai-CHA’s simplified backend system and onboarding process have enabled fast store rollouts nationwide — from major cities to smaller towns.

Offering affordable treats priced between RM2 and RM7, Ai-CHA has gained strong traction among young adults, families, and price-conscious customers. Its most popular items include Sea Salt Ice Cream, Ai-Shake Mango Cup, and Supreme Mix Milk Tea.

“Our pricing makes it possible for more people to enjoy our products, regardless of where they live. These awards reflect our continued commitment to quality, value, and inclusivity,” Ong added.

Looking ahead, Ai-CHA plans to expand into more suburban and semi-urban areas, particularly in East Malaysia, where demand is rising and competition remains limited.

Its first outlet in Berjaya Times Square is certified halal by JAKIM, with other locations in the process of obtaining certification. Ai-CHA’s operations in Indonesia have already been certified halal by MUI.

The brand also aims to broaden its food offerings, with hot snacks such as fried chicken and French fries slated to launch at select outlets later this year — positioning Ai-CHA as a convenient snacking destination.

As part of its ongoing celebration, Ai-CHA will introduce a limited-edition “My Malaysia Magnet Collection” starting 30 June 2025, with 13 collectible fridge magnets representing each state in Malaysia. The collection, available with purchases of RM15 and above, features state icons like Mount Kinabalu and the Rafflesia flower, symbolising the brand’s nationwide reach.

Danny Tahardi, Deputy General Manager of Ai-CHA Global, expressed gratitude for the recognition:

“This honour affirms our dedication to excellence in the highly competitive F&B sector. Achieving 300 stores in just a year is a major milestone, and we thank all our customers and team members for making it possible.”

“We’re building a brand that Malaysians can truly connect with,” said Ong. “And we’re just getting started.”
