Over 1,000 participants and 30 youth organisations gather in Kuala Lumpur to strengthen regional collaboration, drive innovation, and empower the next generation of business leaders

Kuala Lumpur hosted the 14th Young Entrepreneurs Conference 2025, organised by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCIM), marking a milestone in Malaysia’s entrepreneurial calendar. For the first time, the conference welcomed more than 1,000 participants and 30 youth business groups from across Malaysia and abroad, underscoring the growing influence and momentum of young entrepreneurs.

This year’s theme, “International Vision of Young Entrepreneurs: Rooted in ASEAN, Expanding Globally,” highlighted ASEAN’s role as both a strategic launchpad and a thriving marketplace. With its 660 million population, half of whom are under 30, ASEAN remains one of the world’s most dynamic regions for trade, innovation, and investment.

Officiated by Dato’ Ng Yih Pyng, President of ACCIM, and joined by distinguished leaders including Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, YB Liew Chin Tong, the conference explored key strategies for regional cooperation, business transformation, and cross-border expansion. Speakers from China, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Japan, and Malaysia shared insights into navigating local markets while preparing for global growth.

ACCIM also used the platform to reaffirm its support for the Malaysian government’s RMK13, aligning with the Madani Economy framework to strengthen high-value industries, accelerate digitalisation, and boost resilience in the face of global uncertainties. Delegates were encouraged to embrace innovation, adopt artificial intelligence and big data tools, and forge long-term regional partnerships to enhance competitiveness.

“Young entrepreneurs are the driving force of transformation,” said Lee Toong Leon, National Chairman of ACCIM Young Entrepreneurs Committee. “With courage, vision, and collaboration, they can turn ASEAN’s strengths into global opportunities.”

The conference also featured the ACCIM Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Awards Ceremony and the ASEAN & Regional Partners Young Entrepreneurs Roundtable, creating invaluable networking opportunities while reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a hub for entrepreneurial excellence.

The 14th Young Entrepreneurs Conference 2025 concluded with a powerful message: ASEAN’s young leaders are ready to step onto the world stage, equipped with the skills, networks, and vision to shape a sustainable and globally competitive future.
