Kuala Lumpur, 12 February 2026 – Franchise International Malaysia (FIM) 2026 continued to strengthen its role as the premier franchise meeting platform by focusing on empowering a comprehensive and sustainable franchise ecosystem, in line with the nation’s aspiration to position Malaysia as a leading franchise hub at the ASEAN and global levels.

The exhibition organised by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) in collaboration with Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PERNAS) and the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) will take place from 21 to 23 May 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).

According to the Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP), YB Datuk Mohamad bin Alamin, the Ministry remains committed to supporting the development of the franchise industry through the implementation of policies, the provision of financial assistance, and the organisation of continuous entrepreneurship development programmes.

“This effort is strengthened through the National Franchise Policy 2030 (DFN2030), which aims to empower local franchise brands to the global market as well as attract the participation of international brands and investors to Malaysia. This initiative is expected to create a multiplier effect on the national economy through sustainable growth. In this regard, FIM plays a role as a strategic platform in realising the aspiration to empower the local and international franchise industry,” he said.

FIM also received support from the World Franchise Council (WFC) and the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC), thereby strengthening FIM’s position as a strategic platform for franchise industry development at the international level.

Meanwhile, MFA Chairman, Datuk Dr Radzali Hassan, said that he invites and encourages franchise companies, whether from within or outside the country, to participate and become part of FIM2026.

To date, FIM received sponsorship support from Home Maths Therapy, iBooze, Marrybrown, Meiko, Momoyo, Midyson, Kyochon Chicken, The Manhattan Fish Market and US Pizza.
