Held under the theme “Solutions for the Modern Lifestyle,” this year’s exhibition attracted strong interest from Vietnamese buyers, distributors, importers, and industry leaders. The Malaysian Pavilion featured a curated selection of innovative and halal-certified products, underscoring Malaysia’s growing position as a trusted provider of high-quality, sustainable and value-added goods.
Malaysia’s presence at Vietnam Expo 2025 was organised by MATRADE in collaboration with SME Bank under the Program Pembangunan Keusahawanan Halal (PPKH), a KUSKOP-led initiative aimed at developing and empowering halal entrepreneurs among micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The pavilion served as a strategic platform for these companies to gain international exposure, strengthen market access and explore export opportunities in one of ASEAN’s most vibrant consumer markets.
Throughout the three-day event, MATRADE also facilitated pre-arranged business meetings, product presentations and networking sessions between Malaysian exhibitors and potential Vietnamese buyers. These engagements resulted in numerous business matches and contributed to generate a total of RM295.7 million in sales. Several Malaysian exhibitors also reported concrete leads for distributorship, OEM partnerships and market expansion plans.
The positive response from Vietnamese buyers reflects the country’s strong consumer demand for innovative, affordable, and eco-conscious lifestyle solutions. Malaysia’s participation also reinforces the broader goals of the National Trade Blueprint (NTBp) and New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, especially in promoting export diversification, enhancing SME competitiveness and strengthening regional economic integration.
According to MATRADE, Malaysia and Vietnam continue to enjoy robust bilateral trade relations, with total trade reaching RM83.12 billion in 2024. Vietnam remains one of Malaysia’s most important trade partners in ASEAN, and MATRADE’s participation in this year’s expo further cements the commitment to advancing high-value, mutually beneficial business collaborations.
MATRADE expresses appreciation to KUSKOP, SME Bank, the Malaysian exhibitors, and all partners for their strong cooperation and contribution to the success of the Malaysian Pavilion. MATRADE will continue supporting Malaysian companies to tap into the growing Vietnamese market and explore new avenues for sustainable export growth.
