Kuala Lumpur, 16 December 2025 — The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) extend its sincere congratulations to the newly appointed Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers following the Cabinet reshuffle.

As Malaysia is in the last leg of the transformation to become a high-income nation by 2023, the cabinet reshuffle is a strategic move to execute the transformation measures and high impact initiatives as outlined in the MADANI Economy Framework and 13th Malaysia Plan.

ACCCIM President, Datuk Ng Yih Pyng hopes that the new line-up would ensure swift execution of national plans and strategic measures, while ensuring efficiency and good governance in ministries to support the business community.

Datuk Ng emphasises “The need for a stable and conducive business environment, maintain clear, consistent and policy continuity to foster a positive business environment and sustain Domestic Direct Investment, especially SMEs as well as attract FDI”.

ACCCIM urges the newly appointed Ministers at the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) , the Ministry of Economy, and the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development to prioritize policies as outlined in the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 and 13th Malaysia Plan to enhance businesses’ cost competitiveness, enhance trade, support the growth of domestic SMEs and address the cost of doing business as well as rising cost of living.

Datuk Ng also emphasises the importance of stakeholders’ engagement when shaping new policies and regulations as well as addressing ongoing concerns like increased business costs, talent shortages or tax issues. Businesses want faster, simplified business processes, and support for initiatives like the ILTIZAM Act, and review outdated laws.

Going forward, ACCCIM will continue to work closely with the Government and all stakeholders to support ongoing reforms, enhance national competitiveness, and help steer Malaysia towards higher-quality and sustainable growth.
