Italian Elegance Returns: Alfa Romeo Launches Giulia Veloce and Stelvio Veloce in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 20 NOVEMBER 2025 – After more than a decade away, Alfa Romeo returns to Malaysia, bringing its unmistakable Italian style and character back onto Malaysian roads. Arriving with an invitation to Drive Beautifully, Alfa Romeo calls on Malaysians to fall in love with driving again; to rediscover cars as expressions of art, culture and engineering through the Italian marque’s evocative styling, responsive drivetrain and telepathic handling.

Debuting with the Giulia and Stelvio Veloce models, Alfa Romeo Malaysia marks its comeback under the stewardship of DLSB Partners Sdn. The return of Alfa Romeo to Malaysia is highlighted by two of its celebrated models of the modern era — the Giulia and Stelvio Veloce.

The pair embodies the brand’s enduring philosophy of performance, beauty, and soul, and remains a true expression of the Italian marque’s design and engineering of the modern era.

Since their global debut, the Giulia and Stelvio have been instrumental in shaping Alfa Romeo’s modern renaissance, reminding drivers of why Alfa Romeo remains one of the most evocative names in motoring.

Both models have been widely recognized for their style, allure and excellent driving dynamics, proudly carrying its 115 years of heritage and racing DNA that dominated decades of European motorsports.

The pair continue to be lauded for their qualities, most recently receiving recognition in the “BEST CARS” competition at the award ceremony held at the Port of Hamburg, where more than 94,000 readers of auto motor und sport voted the Alfa Romeo Giulia into first place for the eighth time in the “Midsize Import” category, while the Alfa Romeo Stelvio won the “Large SUV/Off-road Vehicle Import” category.

A modern heir to a legendary lineage that stretches back more than 50 years, the modern Giulia successfully carries a clear red thread through Alfa Romeo’s greatest sports saloons; from the beautifully sculpted art pieces of the Giulia Sprint GTs and Alfetta, to the touring car triumphs of the 75 and 156. The Giulia distills decades of motorsport and design heritage into a modern performance sedan defined by balance, beauty and dynamism.

The exterior of the Giulia features unmistakable Alfa Romeo design cues, where every curve is artistically shaped with the help of a wind tunnel to deliver stability and confidence, even at high speeds. The “Trilobo” shield in the front fascia sits between a pair of full-LED Adaptive Matrix “3+3” headlights, giving the car a distinctively captivating visual presence that recalls modern-classic Alfas, while the 19-inch wheels, dark finish elements and red Brembo brake calipers enhance its sporting attributes.

Beneath the Giulia Veloce’s sculpted bonnet lies a 2-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, producing 280 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels, the Giulia completes the 0-60km/h sprint in a brisk 5.7 seconds, and has a limited top speed of 240km/h.

With its bespoke Alfa™ Link suspension system, a near 50:50 weight distribution, extensive use of aluminium, every moment in the Giulia is designed to create an intuitive connection between driver and machine. Its unique character turns raw untamed emotion, translated into motion, with its quick-steering ratio (11.8:1), lightweight carbon fibre driveshaft and mechanical Q2 limited-slip differential, helping the Alfa Romeo Giulia create a driving experience that feels confident, alive, agile – hallmarks of Alfa Romeo’s signature handling.

Inside, the Giulia Veloce embodies fine Italian craftsmanship with every detail, offering drivers with a comfortable, sporty and high-quality environment to spend hours driving in. The updated digital 12.3-inch TFT cluster also features classic-style Alfa Romeo dials to complement the clean, minimalist dashboard, while the leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, sports seats and aluminium accents completes the look.

Named after the legendary Italian-Alpine pass that has tested drivers for generations, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio redefines what a performance SUV can be. Designed and engineered to embody the soul of a sportscar with the versatility of a grand tourer, the Stelvio is Alfa Romeo’s first SUV, and it combines Italian elegance, precision handling, and all-weather capability in one irresistible package.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 280hp engine and 8-speed transmission, with the addition of an intelligent Q4 all-wheel-drive system that distributes power seamlessly between the front and rear axles, during spirited driving or challenging conditions.

Staying true to the Alfa Romeo ethos, the Stelvio champions agility and driver engagement with chassis and suspension that’s both remarkably agile and exceptionally responsive. The brand’s signature Alfa™ Link suspension system, coupled with its balanced 50:50 weight distribution and extensive use of lightweight materials, helps the Stelvio steer with sedan-like precision, accelerate with coupé-like urgency, and carry itself with the poise of an Italian thoroughbred.

Inside, the Stelvio blends sporting pedigree with everyday usability, offering a sanctuary-like cabin with premium leather upholstery, sculpted sport seats, and aluminium accents.
