BYD Sime Motors, the official distributor of BYD in Malaysia, has unveiled the BYD SEAL 6 EV, making Malaysia the first market worldwide to debut the model. The milestone highlights BYD’s commitment to the Malaysian market and sets a new benchmark for the C-segment sedan category.
Redefining the C-Segment Sedan
The BYD SEAL 6 EV combines cutting-edge EV technology, premium comfort, and modern design. It is engineered to deliver a dynamic yet refined driving experience, suitable for both city commutes and long-distance travel.
Key highlights include:
- First-in-BYD dual ball-joint MacPherson strut with rear multi-link suspension for precise handling.
- Rear-wheel drive (unique in its segment) for balanced, sporty driving.
- Largest-in-class dimensions with a 525L cargo capacity and 24 smart storage compartments.
- Performance: 160 kW power, 330 Nm torque, and acceleration of 0–100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.
Accessible Pricing and Exclusive Launch Offers
The BYD SEAL 6 EV is offered in two variants:
- Dynamic – priced at RM100,000
- Premium – priced at RM115,800
Early buyers will benefit from an exclusive launch package worth up to RM6,288, which includes:
- A complimentary wall charger (worth RM3,288).
- Rebates of up to RM3,000 for landed property owners, or Sime Platinum doorstep charging packages for high-rise residents.
- Complimentary accessories such as a V2L adapter and Type 2 charging cable.
Both variants come with a comprehensive warranty: six years or 150,000 km for the vehicle, eight years or 160,000 km for the drive unit and Blade Battery.
Expanding Nationwide Presence
BYD Sime Motors continues to strengthen its retail and service network in Malaysia. With 37 outlets currently in operation and a target of 50 by the end of 2026, the brand is well-positioned to support long-term EV adoption. Since entering Malaysia, BYD Sime Motors has achieved over 20,000 unit sales, reflecting strong consumer confidence.
