Selangor Export Day 2025 returns for its third edition on 25–26 August 2025 at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, Shah Alam. The Selangor State Government, through the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) and Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), is leading the event with support from the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and partners such as Maybank, Affin Bank Berhad, Redly, and Exim Bank Malaysia.
YB Mohd Najwan bin Halimi, Selangor State EXCO for Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurship, will officiate the event alongside Haji Suhaimi Haji Kasdon, Deputy CEO (Corporate) of PKNS. Dato’ Sri Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz, CEO of MATRADE, will also join the launch.
Empowering SMEs for Global Markets
“Selangor Export Day is more than a gateway to international markets—it is a platform to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that form the backbone of Selangor’s economy,” said YB Mohd Najwan. He emphasized that with strategic support and global exposure, local SMEs can unlock more sustainable export potential.
He further noted, “In today’s digital economy, entrepreneurs must adapt to new technologies, embrace e-commerce, and leverage data insights to remain competitive. This collaboration between MATRADE and the state government ensures our SMEs can thrive as globally competitive exporters.”
A Strong Export Track Record
The two-day program will gather more than 200 entrepreneurs and companies from across Selangor, mainly SMEs from diverse industries. These businesses will explore new markets and boost Selangor’s standing as one of Malaysia’s top exporting states.
“Selangor achieved RM357.06 billion in export value in 2024, a 7.3% rise from 2023,” said YB Dato’ Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Chairman of MATRADE. “This proves Selangor’s role as a key driver of national trade. The event is not just another entrepreneur program. It is a vital platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, and innovation. I encourage all entrepreneurs, especially in Selangor, to seize this opportunity and gain valuable export insights.”
Activities to Boost Export Readiness
Across two days, the program will offer export advisory clinics, international market briefings, success story sharing sessions, and details on financing and grant opportunities. These activities will give SMEs practical knowledge, tools, and resources to strengthen their export journey.
