CTOS SME Biz Day 2025 wrapped up its nationwide roadshow with an inspiring finale in Kuching, Sarawak. The event, officiated by YB Datuk Wilson Ugak anak Kumbong, Deputy Minister of Digital, attracted more than 1,000 participants in Kuching and over 6,000 nationwide.
Over the years, CTOS SME Biz Day has grown into a dynamic platform for digitalisation, transformation, and innovation. It connects entrepreneurs, corporates, government agencies, and investors. Consequently, SMEs gain the knowledge, tools, and networks they need to thrive in today’s fast-changing economy.
Driving Sarawak’s Digital and Economic Growth
Sarawak is on track to double its GDP to RM282 billion by 2030. SMEs alone are expected to contribute RM56.4 billion to this target. Importantly, CTOS SME Biz Day’s focus on digitalisation aligns directly with this long-term vision.
Deputy Minister Datuk Wilson Ugak stressed,
“To grow and take our place in the regional market, Sarawak must accelerate digitalisation. Thus, SMEs, as major business players, play a key role in this journey. The road to digital transformation will not always be smooth, but with perseverance, innovation, and collaboration, we can achieve remarkable success.”
Key Highlights: E-Invoicing, Digital Economy, and Entrepreneur Success
The Kuching edition delivered three key focus areas:
- E-Invoicing: Experts showed how Malaysia’s evolving tax system can create opportunities for SMEs to expand regionally and globally.
- Digital Economy: Industry leaders such as TikTok Shop, AWS, Samsung, POS Malaysia, and Unifi Business demonstrated how digital strategies and data insights transform daily operations.
- Entrepreneur Panel: Founders of Anjoe Skincare, Luckin Coffee Malaysia, and Mr. Money TV shared inspiring stories of resilience, creativity, and sustainable growth.
Lee Shin Mei, Chief Operating Officer of CTOS Data Systems, added, “SMEs are the lifeblood of our economy. CTOS SME Biz Day is not just an event – it is a platform to celebrate resilience, share knowledge, and build connections that will carry us forward.”
A Future Built on Innovation and Collaboration
Throughout 2025, CTOS SME Biz Day toured Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, and Sarawak. Each stop united SMEs under a single mission: to grow with confidence in the digital era.
Looking ahead, CTOS will build on this momentum with the upcoming SME Biz Symposium series in Melaka, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu, and Butterworth. These symposiums will address core SME challenges such as financing, digital transformation, and strategic growth.
