Showcasing Malacca’s Vibrant Business Ecosystem
The roadshow not only highlighted the vibrant business ecosystem and immense potential of Malacca’s commercial sector but also provided a high-level networking platform for businesses to connect, collaborate, and explore new opportunities.
PBA: A Symbol of Honour and Aspiration
President of the SME Association of Malaysia, Dr. Chin Chee Seong, in his speech, emphasized that the Platinum Business Awards is more than just an award, it is a symbol of honour, resilience, and aspiration for Malaysian SMEs. Through this platform, we aim to recognise outstanding businesses and inspire continuous growth across the nation.
“We are here in Malacca not only to promote the award, but to connect with the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives in this historic state. Many local SMEs have been quietly contributing to the economy, and they deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported.
Participating in PBA is a journey of self-reflection and improvement. It’s an opportunity for businesses, whether startups or established players to benchmark themselves, gain industry recognition, and open doors to future partnerships.”
Awards Rooted in Leadership, Integration, and Sustainability
Organising Chairman of PBA 2025, Dennix Yeow Wah Fuong, explained that this year’s awards revolve around three core pillars: Leadership, Integration, and Sustainability.
“A company’s growth isn’t measured by revenue alone — strategic alignment, teamwork, and a commitment to environmental and social responsibilities are just as vital.”
Inclusive Categories to Celebrate Diverse Success
He added that the PBA features 21 award categories this year, including 17 nomination-based awards and 4 by-invitation-only categories. The awards cover a broad spectrum of fields, from digital innovation and customer service to community impact and corporate culture — ensuring that companies of all sizes and industries have the chance to shine.
Why Malacca? A Strategic Choice
He further explained that the association chose Malacca because it is a vibrant and active market, full of business opportunities and energy. He also noted that many SMEs in this market are working diligently and demonstrating strong growth potential.
“We hope to take this opportunity to help more businesses understand the significance of the Platinum Business Awards, and to gain the recognition and acknowledgment they truly deserve through this platform.”
Driving Conversation and Collaboration
During the networking session, participants and business representatives engaged in lively discussions, exchanging insights on market trends and future developments. The Malacca roadshow served as a powerful prelude to the upcoming PBA Grand Awards Ceremony, encouraging more companies to strive for excellence.
