KUALA LUMPUR, 13–15 June 2025 – Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek Kuala Lumpur (MBFWKL) returns for its seventh edition with the theme “The Icon”, celebrating the intersection of enduring elegance, sustainability, and progressive design. Held at The Exchange TRX, the three-day event united the worlds of fashion and automotive excellence, showcasing how both industries redefine luxury through craftsmanship and innovation. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia elevated the experience with an exclusive unveiling of the all-new electric G-Class, a bold reinvention of an automotive icon, now adapted for the electric era. This was complemented by the Mercedes-AMG performance lineup, with centre stage given to the newly launched Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ Coupé.

Electrifying the Icon: The All-New Electric G-Class

A highlight of MBFWKL 2025 was the exclusive first look at the electric G-Class, a vehicle that maintains the timeless silhouette of the original while embracing electrification. It embodies the brand’s ethos that “true icons don’t just endure – they lead.”

Designers Who Define Modern Luxury

This year’s fashion showcase featured 16 designers, offering bold interpretations of luxury through textiles, form, and storytelling. Collections were curated to reflect craftsmanship, identity, and the evolution of fashion icons.

Returning luminaries included:

  • Justin Yap – structured tailoring with a modern edge
  • Dickson Lim – masterful layering and textural depth
  • Celest Thoi, Ellie Lim, and Weihaoyong – delivering refined elegance across collections

Also featured were established names such as Khoon Hooi, Unitedwood, P-23, byThian, YULEZA, DIKSON MAH, and Douglas Chew, whose work reaffirmed the connection between design and legacy.

Emerging talents also took the spotlight:

  • SETH&LUNA MALAYA – modular designs that blend cultural narratives with functional fashion
  • TEMMA PRASETIO (Jakarta) – minimalist, gender-neutral tailoring
  • JNBY and SEIBU Kuala Lumpur – runway debuts that bridged ready-to-wear lifestyle with high fashion, proving that today’s luxury is about expression, not excess

MBFWKL 2025 was further elevated by brand collaborations with Schwarzkopf Professional and M·A·C Cosmetics (official hair and makeup partners), as well as Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kimarie Academy, Luen Heng, SEIBU, and The Exchange TRX.

Roadshow & AMG Showcase: Icons of Power and Progress

The fashion week also coincided with the conclusion of the Mercedes-Benz roadshow (9–15 June), offering the public immersive experiences with the brand’s latest models and technologies. The roadshow culminated in the presentation of the electric G-Class, symbolising the brand’s continual evolution.
