The strategic partnership will give ACCCIM members broader access to financial solutions, advisory services and business support to strengthen competitiveness, pursue sustainable growth and explore regional markets.

The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (UOB Malaysia) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen support for Malaysian businesses seeking regional growth and long-term competitiveness.

Signed on 10 October 2026, the agreement will provide ACCCIM members with broader access to financial solutions, advisory services and business support as they navigate an evolving global economic environment.

Under the partnership, UOB Malaysia will draw on its regional network and sector expertise to offer relevant financial, business and wealth advisory support, helping members address their changing needs and advance their sustainability ambitions.

Partnership to Support Cross-Border Growth

The MoU was signed by ACCCIM Deputy President Dato’ Looi Hei Tyng and UOB Malaysia Country Head of Commercial Banking Beh Wee Khee. The ceremony was witnessed by ACCCIM President Datuk Ng Yih Pyng and UOB Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Datuk Ng Wei Wei.

Ng Yih Pyng said businesses faced growing challenges in financing, cross-border operations and market expansion amid an increasingly dynamic global economy.

He said the collaboration would provide ACCCIM members with a more comprehensive platform for financial and business support, helping them strengthen their cross-border capabilities and explore new growth opportunities in regional markets.

UOB Malaysia Marks 75 Years in the Country

Ng Wei Wei said the partnership built on the longstanding collaboration between UOB Malaysia and ACCCIM, reflecting their shared commitment to helping businesses navigate change, improve competitiveness and seize opportunities across ASEAN.

As UOB Malaysia marks 75 years in the country, the bank will continue working alongside businesses to build resilience and pursue sustainable growth.

Beyond business expansion, UOB Malaysia also aims to help entrepreneurs preserve the wealth they have built and create lasting legacies for future generations.

Strengthening Support for Malaysian Businesses

ACCCIM said the agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to supporting the growth and development of Malaysian businesses.

The chamber will continue building partnerships with organisations across different sectors to give its members greater access to resources and business opportunities.

Through these collaborations, ACCCIM aims to help members enhance their competitiveness, pursue sustainable growth and expand their presence in regional markets.
