Aventra Group has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), strengthening its AI governance framework across its operations, technology infrastructure and core business applications.
The international standard provides a structured framework for managing the risks and opportunities associated with artificial intelligence. Aventra Group said the certification places it among the early adopters of AI governance in Malaysia and among fewer than 400 organisations worldwide holding the certification.
By embedding the framework across its operational footprint, Aventra Group has brought its existing ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II frameworks together with its AI governance approach.
The company said the unified governance baseline is designed to address concerns around data liability, AI risks and evolving regulatory requirements that can slow enterprise technology adoption.
Tackling Enterprise AI Procurement Bottlenecks
Corporate procurement, legal and risk teams can spend months carrying out detailed risk assessments before approving new software, particularly when dealing with emerging technologies such as AI.
Aventra Group said its certified framework is intended to reduce this friction by providing enterprise customers with an established compliance foundation when evaluating its technology solutions.
The company said this can help organisations reduce lengthy vendor review processes and remove some of the operational barriers that can prevent APAC businesses from adopting technology and expanding into highly regulated international markets.
“The primary barrier to enterprise AI scaling across the Asia-Pacific region isn’t a lack of technological innovation; it is a profound trust deficit,” said Mohan Vasudevan, Group Chairman at Aventra Group. “Corporate leaders want the efficiency gains of automation and AI but cannot compromise on institutional risk or data safety. By anchoring our foundational operations to the world’s most rigorous AI operational framework, we have institutionalised trust, giving regional enterprises a pre-vetted runway for rapid cross-border scale globally.”
Building an AI Governance Framework for Enterprise Growth
The ISO/IEC 42001 certification forms part of Aventra Group’s broader move towards a borderless digital ecosystem, with the company developing AI-ready solutions for enterprise clients through its AG ONE Marketplace.
Its solutions include the AG ONE Intelligent Workforce Management (IWM) Suite, an AI-native enterprise platform designed to bring workforce processes and talent management into a single ecosystem.
The platform is designed to automate operations while incorporating data privacy, governance and compliant AI adoption into its enterprise offering.
AG ONE Safe Targets Cyber Resilience
Aventra Group’s second highlighted solution is AG ONE Safe, an enterprise governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solution designed as an “Agentic OS for Cyber Resilience”.
The platform aims to provide autonomous risk protection and continuous security compliance, complementing the group’s broader focus on AI governance and enterprise technology risk.
Together, the solutions form part of Aventra Group’s strategy to provide enterprises with technology that combines automation and artificial intelligence with governance, security and compliance requirements.
Supporting APAC Businesses as AI Adoption Grows
The company said its ISO/IEC 42001 certification is intended to provide enterprises with greater confidence as AI adoption expands across the Asia-Pacific region.
By combining AI management with existing information security and compliance frameworks, Aventra Group aims to help businesses address procurement and risk concerns while adopting AI-enabled technologies and pursuing international growth.
