CTOS SME Biz Day 2026 Returns With Bigger Nationwide Expansion

CTOS Digital Berhad is bringing back CTOS SME Biz Day 2026 with a larger nationwide rollout focused on digitalisation, business growth and financing access for Malaysian micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
This year’s event series will take place in Petaling Jaya on 9 June, Penang on 28 July, and Johor Bahru on 8 September. The expansion marks the biggest edition of the programme so far.
Built around the theme “Digitalisation │ Innovate │ Growth”, the event aims to equip SMEs with practical tools, financing opportunities and digital solutions that support long-term business growth.
More than 1,500 participants are expected in each city. These include SME founders, business owners, C-suite executives and industry decision-makers.
New Funding Pavilion Targets Malaysia’s SME Financing Gap
One of the biggest additions this year is the Funding Pavilion, a dedicated matchmaking space created to help SMEs connect directly with financing providers.
The pavilion brings together banks, equity crowdfunding platforms, peer-to-peer financing providers, advisory firms, and government-linked guarantee agencies in one location. Participating partners include Maybank Islamic, RHB Bank, Standard Chartered, SME Bank, Funding Societies and CapBay.
Additionally, the Funding Pavilion focuses on real business outcomes. SME owners can discuss working capital needs, expansion plans and cash flow challenges directly with funding partners.
According to CTOS, the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Malaysian businesses beyond credit reporting and data services.
Digitalisation and AI Take Centre Stage
Besides financing access, CTOS SME Biz Day 2026 will feature masterclasses and business sessions on digitalisation, artificial intelligence (AI) and SME resilience.
The Learning Zone will give entrepreneurs practical insights into digital transformation, operational efficiency and business growth strategies.
Moreover, major technology and ecosystem partners are supporting the event. These include Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, Samsung, CelcomDigi and Maxis.
As a result, SMEs attending the event can explore cloud solutions, AI-powered tools and digital systems designed to improve productivity and business performance.
High-Profile Speakers to Address SME Challenges
The Petaling Jaya edition will feature former Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin as the marquee speaker. His session will focus on leadership, resilience and the realities of operating Malaysian businesses amid economic and policy shifts.
Meanwhile, Amir Hamzah Azizan, Malaysia’s Minister of Finance II, will attend as Guest of Honour for the Petaling Jaya leg.
For the Penang event, Steven Sim Chee Keong has been confirmed as Guest of Honour, reflecting the government’s focus on workforce development, SME talent growth and labour market resilience.
Strengthening Malaysia’s SME Ecosystem
According to CTOS, MSMEs contribute nearly half of Malaysia’s GDP, account for 97% of all business establishments and support approximately 70% of national employment.
However, many businesses continue to face rising operational costs, digital adoption challenges and financing constraints. CTOS SME Biz Day 2026 aims to bridge these gaps by delivering practical business solutions directly to entrepreneurs across Malaysia’s key economic regions.
“CTOS SME Biz Day is Malaysia’s biggest SME platform, built on trust, designed for growth, and powered by access to financing,” said Ankur Sehgal, Group Chief Executive Officer of CTOS Digital Berhad.
He added that the organisation is doubling down on its role as SME infrastructure by combining data intelligence with ecosystem partnerships, education and financing access.
As Malaysia’s SMEs continue navigating a rapidly evolving business environment, CTOS SME Biz Day 2026 positions itself as a key platform supporting digital transformation, sustainable growth and long-term business resilience.
