KUALA LUMPUR, 25th November 2025BinaPavo @ kCommerce (M) Sdn. Bhd. brings it’s 5ᵗʰ Asia Pacific Family Business Summit 2025 (APFBS) which means it has reached its 5th year. The theme for this year’s APFBS2025 is “Strategic Renaissance: Building Tomorrow on the Strength of Legacy and Investments”. The event was held at JW Marriott, Kuala Lumpur and spanned from 8.30AM to 5.30PM

Though previous summits were held for public attendance and at larger scales, this year’s summit focused on a smaller exclusive by invitation only participation with the focus being the inclusion of the session known as the ‘Roundtable – Strategic Renaissance: Frameworks for a Resilient Malaysian Economy’. This exclusive roundtable convenes leaders of Malaysia’s family businesses and policymakers to address a critical mandate: how can public policy catalyze the investment and innovation required to future-proof this vital sector? As legacy models face unprecedented disruption, participants explored the specific policy mechanisms—from fiscal incentives to governance standards—that can unlock capital, ease generational transitions, and build systemic resilience. The strategic insights from this session will form the cornerstone of a white paper, providing the Malaysian government with a concrete action plan to foster a strategic renaissance across the enterprise landscape.

The audience for the summit are Family Business owners (Gen1, Gen2, Gen3) as well as practitioners. Dr. Leilanie Mohd Nor, Group CEO of BinaPavo along with Dr. Mohar Yusof, President of BinaPavo, coined this year’s Summit as “Intimate Conversations” – so families will be more comfortable to share stories and experiences on family legacy and investment – including but not limited to their involvement within the roundtable sessions.

It is the collective hope of the BinaPavo team that the data and insight collected from these intimate conversations will pave the way forward for a brighter future within the family business communities and act as a catalyst for the Asia Pacific Family Business Summits of the following years.

Beyond the roundtable sessions, keynote and panel sessions were also held and led by various industry leaders within the family business community to give participants further insight into the current and future prospects of the family business community.
