Temporary licences for coming Chinese New Year
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- Express bus operators can apply for temporary licences to offer extra services in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year, said Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD).
In a statement Thursday, SPAD said the application for the temporary licences opened yesterday until Jan 16, 2012.
"They will be valid for seven days before and eight days after the Chinese New Year, that is, from Jan 16-31, 2012," it said.
Other than the express bus companies, others operating school, worker, chartered, tourism, coach buses could also apply for the licences, it said.
"The buses offering the extra services must fulfil the conditions under Pekeliling Bil 1/2012 -- Garis Panduan Penyediaan Bas Ekspres Tambahan Pada Musim Perayaan Tahun Baru Cina 2012, Lesen Perubahan Sementara," it said.
All applicants of the temporary licences must submit the forms at only SPAD offices and pay RM20 fees, it said.
