Putra Brand Awards Adds New Categories

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 (Bernama) -- The Putra Brand Awards which is initiated by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As), has introduced three more categories, namely, the Putra Brand of the Year, Most Promising Brand of the Year and the Putra SME Brand of the year.

It currently gives out 20 awards from 20 categories.

Regarded as "the best of the best" awards, these three new awards are expected to further encourage more local companies and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to work harder and invest a little bit more time and money on brand building.

The unique "people's choice" selection  process has earned the Putra Awards the recognition as the only brand award in the country endorsed by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

It is also supported by the Branding Association of Malaysia (BAM), the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA), and the Media Specialist Association (MSA).

"The Putra Brand Awards honours local brands that have done well in their mission to emphasize the importance of good branding.

"The recognition provides the Malaysian brands and SMEs with a platform to position their brands effectively and eventually become global brands," said 4As President, Datuk Vincent Lee during a media briefing here Friday.

"Our mission is to acknowledge and recognize strong brands that have invested to build their position and reputation in Malaysia and the global market," he added.
