Pos Malaysia teams up with Pos Indonesia to launch Paket POSterus service

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 22 (Bernama) -- Pos Malaysia Bhd, in collaboration with Pos Indonesia, today launched a convenient and affordable Paket POSTerus service to send prepaid parcels to Indonesia.

Pos Malaysia chief executive officer, Datuk Syed Faisal Albar, said the company was committed to meet its customers' needs for mail and parcel services.

"We strive to offer our customers shipment options and Paket POSTerus is specially developed to cater to the growing number of customers who send packages to Indonesia," he said at the launch of the service here today.

Syed Faisal and counsellor of Indonesian Embassy here, Ibu Zani Murnia, jointly launched the service

He said the customers could enjoy the convenience of the prepaid boxes and the Track and Trace service to monitor the delivery status of their shipments via Pos Malaysia's website at www.pos.com.my.

"The parcels will be delivered to Pos Indonesia and are expected to reach their destinations within 10 working days," he said.

The parcel package comes in four different sizes to selected destinations in Indonesia -- Java, Sumatra, Bali and Nusa Tenggara.

The service is available at seven Pos Malaysia outlets in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur and by Dec 1, 2011, it will be extended to 31 outlets nationwide.

In the event the parcel is lost or damaged during shipment, the customer can claim compensation of up to RM200 from Pos Malaysia, depending on the actual value of the parcel, at the nearest Pos Malaysia outlet within three months from the date of posting.
