PRIME MINISTER TO DELIVER KEYNOTE ADDRESS AT THE AXIATA 7th ASEAN LEADERSHIP FORUM
26 March 2010, Kuala Lumpur- The Prime Minister, Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Razak will deliver the Keynote Address at the Axiata 7th ASEAN Leadership Forum organised by the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI) on 5th April 2010 at the Sunway Resort Hotel.
This Annual series of ASEAN Leadership Forums brings together Government, Business and Thought leaders to deliberate on the strategic challenges and key issues facing ASEAN.
ASEAN has made remarkable progress in charting a quick and robust recovery from the global financial crisis.
The coming into full effect of AFTA and the China ASEAN FTA this year creates new opportunities for the private sector in ASEAN.
The adoption of the ASEAN charter is another landmark achievement for ASEAN.
At the Axiata 7th ASEAN Leadership Forum, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, HE Keo Puth Rasmey; The Phillipines Minister responsible for the Peace Process, Secretary Abaya; Former ASEAN Secretary-General, Ambassador Ong Keng Yong will join several Business and think tank leaders in addressing the Forum.
“Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Najib will be conferred the inaugural ASEAN Transformational Award at the Forum” said Dato’ Dr Michael Yeoh, ASLI CEO.
“The Forum will discuss the economic outlook and investment prospects in ASEAN Women and Youth Development, Business Unusual-How to grow ASEAN companies and forging partnerships with ASEAN”, added Dato’ Yeoh.
