NEF-Awani launches award For Bumiputera technopreneurs
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- More than 500 Bumiputera entrepreneurs and companies from of the ICT industry are expected to participate in the NEF-AWANI ICT Awards 2010.
"We are very excited about the awards as our commitment is to provide a platform encouraging participation from the community, and to give them recognition for the betterment of their businesses," Astro Awani general manager Rozita Aziz said.
Particpants of the awards will be featured in detail on the broadcast channel's news bulletins and current affairs programmes starting Wednesday.
The award is jointly organised by the Astro Awani television channel and Malaysian Association of Bumiputera ICT Industry and Entrepreneurs or New Entrepreneur Forum (NEF).
It is intended to acknowledge and celebrate Bumiputera technopreneurs who have made an impact on the community.
Utusan Group and AMP Radio network have also agreed to support the awards as well.
"Although there is no cash prize for the award, the exposure and recognition the companies will be getting through the supporting partnerships of the award is far more than any cash value we can put on prizes," said NEF president Ashran Ghazi.
The award is divided into eight categories and nominations will be judged on product uniqueness, creativity, innovation, market acceptance, quality and impact on the industry by experts in the ICT industry.
The public is also invited to submit their nominations online starting today via www.nef.org.my, while winners will be announced on November 25.
