More than 150 exhibitors expected at 3-day 'Karnival Rakyat' in Kelantan
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- More than 150 exhibitors are expected to participate in "Karnival Rakyat" that will be held at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara in Jeli, Kelantan, from Sept 15 to 17.
The three-day fair is co-organised by the International Trade and Industry Ministry's Entrepreneurial Development Division and the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC).
In a statement Tuesday, HDC said the fair would also see participation from various government agencies such as the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama), Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) and Federal Land Development Authority (Felda).
"The carnival will serve as a platform for local entrepreneurs to venture into the halal industry or expand their halal businesses," it said.
Themed "Creative and Innovative Entrepreneurs Platform for Economic Development", the fair is expected to benefit the entrepreneurial sector through three segments namely economics, education and edutainment.
The organisers said they expected 10,000 people from Kelantan especially in the vicinity of Jeli to visit the fair.
