MITI Disburses Grants Worth RM81.59 Million In January-May Period
SHAH ALAM, May 31 (Bernama) -- The International Tradeand Industry has disbursed RM81.59 million in grants under various schemes viaits agencies between January and May, said Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
He said 641 grants totalling RM14.1 million were issuedby SME Bank and RM67.49 million worth of grants by SME Corp.
"Most of the grants disbursed by SME Corp were forproduct and process development that aid companies to implement theirprojects," he told reporters after his visit to Joven Electric Co Sdn Bhdhere Monday.
Earlier, Mustapa visited Alami Vegetable Oil Products SdnBhd, manufacturer and exporter of palm oil fractions, derivatives anddownstream products.
Both companies, with a combined workforce of 343 people,were among winners of the Industry Excellence Award 2009, that adopt creativityand innovation in their business.-- BERNAMA
