Firms Urged To Leverage On Intrade 2009 Platform
KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 (Bernama) -- Local firms have been urged to leverage on the International Trade Malaysia 2009 Exhibition (Intrade) to further explore new business opportunities and remain resilient in the global marketplace.The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) said it was certain that Intrade 2009 would assist businesses, especially the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to achieve export goals through very effective means.
"The two previous Intrade series clearly demonstrated the ability to assist companies improve their export orders and uplift brand image," it said in a statement.
With theme "Optimising Global Opportunities", the third Intrade will be held at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre from Nov 10-12. About 122 local and foreign exhibitors have confirmed their participation at the event.
"Foreign exhibitors already account for 10 percent of the total space," the director of Matrade's product and services development division, Susila Devi said. She said that Matrade was confident that local and foreign manufacturers, businesses and entrepreneurs would take advantage of the numerous trade opportunities that Intrade offers.
"More importantly, the local business community must grab the opportunity created through this exhibition, as it is a very cost-efficient platform to reach the global market," she added. -- BERNAMA
