FRIM To Hold Seminar On Medicinal And Aromatic Plants
KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 (Bernama) -- Some 200 researchers, medical practitioners,academicians and entrepreneurs are expected to take part at the 12th Medicinaland Aromatic Plants seminar here next month organised by the Forest ResearchInstitute of Malaysia (FRIM).
In a statement, FRIM said among others, a paper on thebenefits of the Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) plant on men's health wouldbe presented at the seminar by consultant andrologist Prof Emeritus Dr MohdIsmail Mohd Tambi.
The two-day seminar from Aug 3, themed "Harnessingthe Tropical Herbal Heritage: Recent Advances in R&D andCommercialisation", is aimed at enhancing the awareness on the potentialof the herbal industry.
